WE NEED TO SIGN FATAWU PERMANENTLY

That's the big question.

You can bet other clubs are watching him.

Yes they do have to sell him to us.

According to what was reported we have an option to purchase.  That means sporting have to sell to us if we exercise it.  If we go up we have to exercise the option whether we want to or not, that's where the obligation bit comes in.  Doesn't change the fact we have an option that, if exercised, legally obliges sporting to transfer Fatawu to us.

That sounds reasonable and hope you are right. It was a gamble for both parties as it may've turned out that we were committed to paying for a very expensive flop. Seems that we'll now get him for a steal. His future contract/wages must have also have been agreed for this deal to be made.

We also paid  a 700k option fee to sweeten the deal.

Sounds like we have someone at the club with a bit of savvy sorting out signings . That makes a welcome change from the recent past

Why are so many people losing their minds about us signing Fatawu. WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO BUY FOR THOSE WHO DIDNT KNOW. THIS MEANS THAT WHEN WE GET PROMOTED WE ALREADY HAVE A DEAL IN PLACE TO SIGN HIM PERMANENTLY.

Hopefully the capital letters might help some on here understand the Fatawu situation

WE have an obligation to buy him but at the end of the season, but I  don’t think he has an obligation to sign for us.

i still maintain is is better to sign him in January before his head gets turned  by a bigger club or by some ‘whisperings’ from other players at the AFCON..

I seem to remember someone once had an obligation to buy Toby Alderweirald. For one reason or another, it didn't happen!
