You've got to learn in life to not be offended by people with significantly lower IQ's than yourself. These two will either end up with severe drug addictions, banged up or dead at a young age. Let them be

because they did a silly helicopter gesture to get a bite? really?

It does seem a bit OTT to me all this stuff lately.  I mean, back in the 90s I was in the kop with literally hundreds of others doing the plane wing thing when United visited and all you got was a load of free 2p coins headed in your direction.  Profit!

Well they're clearly not the brightest. Stupid people tend to make bad life choices

As a fan base they have a lot of absolute scum. I’ve been chased out of pubs around London Bridge, had people gesture to cut my throat on the tube going to the game. I’m sure we’ve got wrongens as well, but these lot seem to be on a different level.

I’ve not been to Millwall for a while, but they used to have a good hundred or so ‘fans’ sat in the corner of the stands solely there to abuse away fans - and not actually watch the game.

It's difficult - ignoring it to starve it of oxygen makes sense....but then one is faced with it becoming tactitly condoned because nothing was said.

So I understand at least two points of view on this. The police probably act on this sort of thing because they can do so relatively easily and effectively - the issue of their inaction elsewhere is tied up in lack of funding, lower force numbers and (I guess) low success rates, and then it becomes a discussion for a different thread in General.

Cynical me feels the police act because it's high profile, good PR and easily prosecuted. There's been a report on the BBC of a burglary the police, essentially, didn't investigate, I deplore this sort of behaviour and there should consequences but which is more important?

It would be nice to think they're banned and their employers send them down the road for bringing the business into disrepute, easy done and proportionate justice.

Employers ? Are you indicating they may have a job?

I don't remember that - when was it and what happened - Was it due to the the Turkish chants?

Would have been 2002-05 time, can’t remember exactly. Remember it though as a leeds lad I know was photographed trying to get over the netting. There may have even been a turkey flag but it was a long time ago so very sketchy memories of it

All of the the..."I got robbed and the cops don't care" people are directing the anger/frustration to the wrong place. Why dont we have enough police to do both is the question you should be asking ( I've got the answer if you're interested 😁)

To everyone calling for these "fans" to be banned for life from watching Millwall...

That's not a punishment, that's a blessing!

Its all banters and stuff and people shouldn't be snowflakes and woke. cops are too busy to deal with this innit thats why theres shoplifting from co op and stuff.

I reckon abit of racism is okay too, as we've got loads of black players in the league now...

:claude:i'm glad the authorities are taking more action.  But pot calling kettle black, our fans and all other clubs have its fair share of numpties.  Like i have said, I have been racially abused more then our own fans then the opposition in my 30 plus years going home and away to watch city.

Was it 2 seasons ago we played millwall away in the cup and they beat us. Right after the whistle their fans invaded the pitch and ran straight towards us in the away end to intimidate and taunt. Thought that was outrageous and inciteful. Was all over the news too. The club either can’t control its fans and the bad seed or it actually prides itself on it. Just cause trouble period. If they focused their energy on actually playing decent football they might progress & evolve from the 1980’s.

Dont condone this at all.... but they look late teens , stupid actions and probably thought it was banter more than anything ! Christ in the early 90s we were all singing " Robert Maxwells gonna drown "  ( there's a circus in the town ) and we didn't think think twice  about who we were upsetting did we . just lads being lads in me book , giving it large as they know it gets a reaction !

brought to justice lol

you can see the bootlickers in this thread. probably grassing on people during lockdowns and will be first in line to be snitching to the stasi when the government gets the full on police state it's got a raging hard on for.

some people made inappropriate gestures. if you don't like it go and give them a whack, call them idiots or write a strongly worded letter to millwall. getting the police involved is a joke.

They’re Millwall - I’d happily report them for shoplifting a sweet from the cinema Pick’n’Mix. I’d be straight on the phone to the BBC if they admitted to watching Bake Off Talent Dancing on Ice without a TV licence. I’d be chasing a council litter inspector down the road for three miles to let them know if one of them had dropped a fag butt. I go out of my way to deliver a pain in the arse day for some people, and grubby little Milllllll oiks number among those riding at the top of my pet peeve list.

That was nearly 7 years ago now. The wall are inbred scum but it does seem their misdemanours get highlighted more than others, I had no idea Sunderland fans made helicopter taunts to us, only found out as it was linked to the Millwall news story lol.  We have more football-related arrests than them so that seems to show our club cannot control us lot more than they can control their fans? Not sure how else to judge the 'can't control its fans' metric other than by arrests

It was last game of the season in 2005 and I'm pretty sure there was a Turkish flag being waved about.

What about the Harry Roberts song get an airing these days?

I was with a friend at the notorious cup tie at Luton in the eighties. Millwall's thugs really excelled themselves that night. Because it was midweek the other London sides were not playing and the hooligans were joined by the firms from Chelsea and West Ham. A sight I will never forget is a stout middle-aged woman in her fifties bawling at the plod and then starting to throw punches. It took about half a dozen plod to subdue her and drag her off. I wonder what her kids turned out like?
