They've been obscure or mediocre for over 100 years apart from one day in 1987. No bigger than Wimbledon who achieved the same....look at some of their appalling crowds at the Ricoh in recent years.

It always feels a bit awkward for me when someone starts a thread on FT claiming they are the ones obsessed with us when we are the ones who have been on to their forum to find this information out..

We have a genuine rivalry and some of our fans play it down. Will always be a big game.

This is to do with boycotting their ownership. But this is the issue nowadays, a fanbase takes a stance and other fans laugh it off. Same people then complain fanbases don't do anything in this Country.

 

Also, not the whole "big club" thing but Wimbledon were traditionally a lower league club. Cov, while not winning anything aside from an FA Cup, sustained top flight football for 30 years. They're bigger than Wimbledon ever were.

Haven't been bothered about them for about 20 years, though their fall through the leagues after wishing us into liquidation has been funny to watch. The two clubs are at different levels these days and they're forcing it a bit because they don't have another genuine local rival to be bothered about.

 

Like with Forest and Derby, it depends where in Leicester you live. If you're out towards Melton or Loughborough etc you might not be arsed about them at all. If you're more round the Earl Shilton or Narborough areas you probably see a few more of their lot around and it's more of a thing for you.

Cov such a shit hole, if you are not certain then watch This Town on BBC iPlayer, shows it at its best🤮 and surprisingly a good series for the BBC, not so much  political bias as normal

The BBC are biased, unless they confirm your confirmation bias.
