IIRC wasn’t there a rumour doing the rounds that Steven Reid was in negotiations to join the clubs coaching staff, seems to have gone quiet.

@Happy Fox suggested Rene Meulensteen in the other thread. Which is a great shout.

 

Just out of work from working with Australia. Senior figure, Dutch, worked with RVN, knows the premier league inside out.

 

God knows what their relationship is like though. People from that Man United era seem to randomly hate each other .

Yes definitely he was. Would have been a good addition for player wellfare too. He's a psychologist of some sort now I believe.

Seriously I don't care once they are good. And Holland has produced some of the best players in world football going back to the 80s. So they must have a lot of good Coaches.

Has Fletcher gone back into coaching? Thought he was quite into the technical director side of things, similar to Petr Cech as an ex player comparrison.

he’s still there - no idea if he’s interested in moving back into coaching

Interested to see what we do with Ben Dawson.

 

His principles and tactics align with Ruud, he's also been a well renowned youth team manager, i'd love to see him given the U21 role and see us take the progression into first team really seriously (same style of play etc)

 

I know it would be harsh on Leon, but he's not really shown me enough so far to show he is who we need in place at that level in a management position.

 

Equally Ruud may well like him as part of the first team set up still.

 

One thing for sure is the club will keep hold of him to ensure we always have a 'club man' in place for worst case scenarios

Or was it Jeff Mutten but he couldn't hear the players very well?

Where has this Tony Loughlan thing come from? Just because he’s worked for us 20 years ago and is out of work? Or has he even worked with Ruud before?
