Sly Posted 17 June 2024 Posted 17 June 2024 https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-could-spoil-leeds-9348259.amp Leicester City could spoil Leeds United transfer plans as latest defensive target emerges - Leicestershire Live Leicester City have been named as part of a group of English clubs currently tracking the situation of Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon. Whilst on loan with Leeds United, the 26-year-old impressed in the second tier as he helped Daniel Farke's side to a 90-point haul. Unfortunately for them that was not enough to challenge with Leicester or Ipswich Town, who took automatic promotion to the Premier League, and ultimately their season ended with play-off final defeat to Southampton. Rodon is to return to parent club Spurs over the summer, and with one year remaining on his contract will seemingly have a big decision to make, say our sister site football.london. 1
Molson Canadian Posted 17 June 2024 Posted 17 June 2024 Has experience playing in defence in front of Danny Ward so that's a good thing. 1
kingfox Posted 17 June 2024 Posted 17 June 2024 Could easily see him joining if we end up appointing Potter or Cooper.
Popular Post Md9 Posted 18 June 2024 Popular Post Posted 18 June 2024 Yeah purely just to wind up Leeds some more 5
Finnegan Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 Bit of a bombscare sometimes is our Joe but I'd definitely take him on a loan or for a bargain. Could do worse. Definitely not worth a bidding war though.
honeybradger Posted 18 June 2024 Posted 18 June 2024 Rodon is a clear example of a player who is great in the championship but not good enough in the PL. There are plenty of players who will be cheaper and better. 2

Pita Posted 19 June 2024 Posted 19 June 2024 Don’t think he’s a premiership player. He would do well for Leeds in the championship

HowardsBulletHeader Posted 19 June 2024 Posted 19 June 2024 For 10m I think this is a good deal, he's 26, entering his prime and hasn't worked out for him at Spurs so he needs to move. He will want to prove himself in the Prem and he's got a good opportunity to oust either Vestergaard or Faes under a new manager. We are desperate for another quality option at CB, I don't think Vestergaard will cut it with the pace of the Premier League and Rodon has a big opportunity to cement a spot in the XI. Having more CBs on the books gives us a back 3 with wing back options JJ, Kristiansen, Ricky P. I think this is fairly smart business. 4
winteriscoming Posted 19 June 2024 Posted 19 June 2024 Would be a decent signing and not a huge fee. Absolute no brainer. So obviously it’s never gonna happen.
Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 19 June 2024 Popular Post Posted 19 June 2024 If we could sell Faes I'd not be against this. 5
Number 6 Posted 20 June 2024 Posted 20 June 2024 Looks like we're continuing to collect CBs. Don't mind the signing but with Vestergaard's contract we have a lot of options there already. Would be ok if some were being offloaded.
