A new #10 is a must. KDH is a #8 and can be used as a #10 if rotation is required.

Can see him trying mcateer in the 10 with his eye for a goal pre season would need to add/provide assists though

He is good on the defensive end, but I just can’t picture him as a wing back. If Cooper goes 3-4-1-2, then you could see Mavididi, Fatawu or both being used as impact subs. 
 

Whatever the formation though, if we can somehow keep hold of KDH, I do agree that he’ll probably be pushed up into a ‘10’ role. 

I agree, yeah - not ideal for his skillset but he'd have to be shoehorned in. Which is why I put Fatawu on the left, because Kristiansen is far more of a standard full back who needs a winger in front of him, Ricardo plays better on the right and JJ I can see being used as a RCB/LCB (not to mention the injury potential if both of the latter played as wing backs).

I won't have a clue how Cooper will actually line us up until the first preseason match and we've signed reinforcements tbh

I’d love to see two upfront, feels naughty saying it nowadays with how the games gone but a proper ball winner next to Vardy with Fatawu and Mavididi on the wings would at the very least be exciting

I expect him to be used in pre-season with some of the other young lads. Cooper will want a good look.

Cooper has played 3-4-3 on a few occasions both at Swansea and Forest, but when he’s mainly gone for three at the back, it’s either been 3-5-2 or 3-4-1-2. 
 

If he doesn’t go 3-4-3, then Mavididi up front and Fatawu as a wing-back actually looks plausible 😕

You can't leave out Richardo. When fit he's often one of the first names I'd put down on the team sheet.

I hope he looks at the squad and picks the best formation to suit the players available to him rather than trying to shoehorn players into new positions to suit a formation. 
I agree that Fatawu could play wing back but I’d much rather continue to see him on the wing.

He'd also need to get involved in the game which he rarely does. His few early goals last season, whilst taken well, flattered to deceive. He wasn't good enough for the Championship let alone anywhere near the Premiership. Not even worth a squad number for me unless we're absolutely desperate for numbers for the bench or cup matches.

Ndidi won't be here and I don't see Golding anywhere near at certainly the start of the season.

If it ends up looking like that, it will go to 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1 in possession with Faes as a FB pushing on I reckon.
