the saying "no ethical consumption under capitalism" exists for a reason. PepsiCo are not an ethical conglomerate but like, are any of their competitors any better? Coca-Cola murder trade unionists in South America, Nestle steal water from First Nations communities... Short of just giving it to a local charity for free (and even then the governance of some charities acts as money laundering for the c-suites), you're not getting an ethical short sponsor.

Our board is so tin-eared that they'd probably insist on PepsiCo putting this brand on our shirts.

Laughed when I read it. Seemed dodgy to begin with. A Club that's ran itself financially into the grounds sponsor has gone bankrupt. Just another installment of this joke of a club

I mean in the grand scheme of football revenue, shirt sponsor is very little and the good will for advertising a charity for free would be priceless.

Can you actually believe that a Premier League football club is having to be asked if it's done it's due diligence on a sponsor? Even that in itself is so laughable. 

 

Susan Whelan is another example of absolute cock up after cock up and still manages to keep her job because she is part of the furniture. We know of her and Rudkin who are the high profile cases but I bet this runs much deeper than them.
