Unpopular opinion, but I feel like when he gets one he’s going to score a few for us this season. Hes had about 5 clear cut chances where as the likes of Cullen and Bristric haven’t had one between them.

He’s had 2 atrocious seasons, and maybe I’m trying to find the positives a bit too much, but I think he could be useful for us.

I guess like everyone here, I hope you’re right, but his misses last night were appalling. I get too emotional watching us, but my wife told me to dial it down last night because she reckoned our neighbours would be round to complain about the 100dB effin and jeffin!

It's the hope that kills you.

See Patson Daka, Islam Slimani, Ayoze Perez, Demarai Gray, Kelechi etc threads for the exact same comment each year.

The thing is, all of his attempts at goal were off target, it's not like the keepers have had to make some saves. I just don't think he is a striker, to be honest, he was in my opinion our worst player yesterday. I was perplexed as to why he was still on the pitch with the likes of Alves (our best player) being subbed. I think putting Alves up top rather than Bobby once Bristric came off would have been better

I’ve not watched them back, but from memory I think the first was the worst but equally he was a bit unlucky. The one in the second half looked like a difficult one due to the bobbly ball and the pressure put on him but again that’s from memory.

We also had the same for Harvey Barnes in his first season. Obviously, a young player on the up is very different but still.

Martin said he was great.

What the manager says in public isn't necessarily what he says in the dressing room.

There was one moment where he received the ball in space near the halfway line with room to progress. Decided instead to do a dragback flick them passed it straight to an opponent.

I don't think he's particularly good at that.

All of his attempts last night weren't on target as well as his howler on Saturday.

He's just a terrible footballer

If you are in the 10 role, need to be putting his chances away

Yep you really do - Chaplin probably scores them all

Honest pro but he’s shite, should only ever play coming off the bench.

Riis has come to play so I think we’ll see a lot less of bob

Couldn’t agree more - I’m not sure he is one of the ‘bad’ apples - he gives off that vibe sometimes but I don’t think he’s a mavididi- I think he is probably an honest pro like you say and probably very good around the young lads etc - unfortunately he is just a bit crap - definitely no crapper than Cullen but just not quite good enough even at this level - you can’t miss all 4 of those chances

To be honest I never used to see his finishing as a problem. I thought he was otherwise a bad player that could occasionally score a bit out of the blue.

What I'd give him over Ayew is at least he gets chances to miss. Ayew just never got chances at all.

Popular opinion this should have stayed in your head

I mean you have to give him credit for getting into good positions. Thinks he's had about 5 clear cut chances since the start of the season. I know he's not put one away but bloody hell, the guy has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

If we could combine that talent with the finishing of a professional footballer we'd be flying.
