Pay him off and get him gone

this actually wouldn't cost us any more than keeping would him as his deal is up in the summer, if he can get a move on a free transfer we should accept that too, at least we would same something on his wages even if we had to subsidise the move

I night be remembering wrongly but I'm sure in his latter seasons with them he played more as a wing back. Obviously he needed legs for that but shows what they thought of his attacking ability.

I think you are misremembering. He played on the wing and his final season he was their second top scorer. They wanted to keep him but only offered 2 year deals to over 30's. Whereas we offer lifetime contracts.

He’s scored a few belters.

Technically he’s good but I don’t think he ever looked fit last season.

I’m not sure where you play him either if I am Truthful. He doesn’t have the movement or finishing as a 9.

Too slow not to be a winger.

Not physical enough to play centre mid.

Reminds me a lot of Ricardo last season.

Same problem we have had for a while technical players who have no physicality.

Sorry mate, that has to be challenged. I've watched him forensically.

On the rare times he touches the ball it's a lottery whether it's a scuff, stubbed toe,.air shot,.miskick,.under hit pass or a (superficially decent) flick round the corner (which I think is a reflex, survivalist 'get rid of it in a way I look professional' manoeuvre he's developed)

Of course, like any recreational player he can sometimes kick a ball with relative grace. He clipped in a decent goal at Norwich and calmly finished at Derby. But technically, i mean on a real, granular  technical level, most 5 a side pub players can kick a ball like those.two goals were kicked.  Both were kind of stroked home - which is more to do with timing than technicality.

Watch him score 10+ goals this season lol

I mean if he's fit and he plays regularly Id be expecting that as a minimum anyway despite how rubbish he is.

If i had to bin 2 players out of this squad, he wouldn't even be considered.

Faes & Mavididi all day long.

Id rather BDR get a 3 year extension than either of the above be here come the start of the season.

What about his finish against Ipswich?

@Paninistickers has put more effort into hating on BDR since he's been here (I agree btw) than lots of club employees put into their jobs lol

I feel a bit like that Irish journalist fella - David Walsh? - who spent his career calling out Lance Armstrong. He just knew.

Tbf, I have no issue that Bob seems a nice enough guy. It's never personal.

I can cope with BDR being average and inoffensive.

I find Faes & Mavididi insulting levels of bad, and the nail in the coffin is them both being arrogant miserable tw@ts.

I think BDR will be a decent enough squad player at this level.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't he out of contract after this season anyway? Can't imagine it will be renewed so yeah, I am fine with him being here as a squad player for the season & then parting ways.

Maybe BDCR should consider performance enhancing drugs?

Can’t get fully onboard with the feeling of a fresh start until this guy, Faes, Thomas and Choudhury are gone.

Unfortunately I think it’s more likely that they form 4 of the starting 11 at Notts County for the first league fixture than them going.

Think we have them until contract expiry.

I think you are right unfortunately.

That said, a club good at shifting players they don’t want would have had them out of the door this summer.

Choudhury should have been left at home with the kids and told he could either find another club or sit his final year out when he has precious little time in his career left. A Championship club would have taken him at knockdown price if he was being touted about by his agent.

Instead, we take them abroad, give them minutes, include them in all of the photos and interviews for pre-season. And they think “you know what, it’s not so bad here for one more year”.

Listen to the Fozcast and his view on bomb squads and the negative impact it has on a squad overall.

He  has an interesting view.

Personally, i think we're just waiting for the right offers to come in for Faes & BDR...if they ever do..

Choudhury & Thomas i don't think we're even trying to get rid to be honest.

I think they will see Choudhury as a versatile player, wouldn't be surprised they were actively wanting to keep him.

He would be the 3rd one though surely?

He will definitely score that and more in my opinion. Most players from last season I want nowhere near the club but he actually had some good performances when fit and if nobody decides to take him I’d happily see him in the sqaud with his experience.
His wages though are a big problem and for that reason it’s best he’s gone.
