I also felt he was always more of a 10 or second striker than a 9. 16 minutes ago, STUHILL said: everyone? I think it was 50/50, as are most of these debates. I was being flippant for effect 1

Realist Guy In The Room Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Whilst I don’t think much of him as a player, if a replacement isn’t happening, this is just ridiculous. 3

Gav_LCFC14 Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 (edited) We're Vardy injury away from an absolute nightmare. This is a suicidal recruitment strategy Edited 30 August 2024 by Gav_LCFC14 3
STUHILL Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Tom Cannon is our 20 goal man. Natural finisher who will cause havoc in the box. ...Who's with me?? 3

Bilal is a massive talent, if he hits the ground running he could be a difference maker. But, we’re relying on inexperience other than Ayew and Vardy. You never know, Ayew might have that one season where he grabs 15 goals.

adamkhalifa Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Not sure what is going with Cannon. In principle he has done the loan flex at PNE already. He was with us in Championship and looked decent. The guy was 2nd choice, behind Vardy legend. I'd like to see him given a chance at Prem level. The staff see him day I day out. What the hell do I know.

coolhandfox Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Enzo didn't fancy him, Cooper doesn't fancy him, there must be a reason. 2

RowlattsFox Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 We needed a new striker start of last season, let alone this one I'm not sure we worse, just not better, especially up front.
benpicko Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 I understand not fancying him but surely Cooper will fancy playing him when Vardy and Ayew have 4 goals midway into the season and Daka is injured still

People keep saying this but your not going to play him ahead of Vardy but he’d definitely get his chance in the prem when the games come thick and fast.

He's behind Vardy, Daka, Mavididi and Ayew in the pecking order and it wouldn't surprise me if Cooper would rather stick Reid up front as well. Who does it benefit keeping him here if his chances of playing are so remote?
ithuriel Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Put Ward up front, absolute calamity in the box, just tripping over his own feet would probably get us 6 to 10 penalties. 1

Cooper can do one it’s like not playing Ricardo he’s near the best footballer at the club shall we let him go as well?
Molson Canadian Posted 30 August 2024 Posted 30 August 2024 Logically there is no way he can leave if we don't bring another striker in before the deadline. The club must be trying to work on bringing someone in actively right now. 1

If Cooper would rather play Ayew or Mavididi down the middle than Cannon then he probably doesn't consider Cannon to have much impact on our depth. 2
