Low is basically the German Southgate

Most their fans hate his tactics and think he should have won more

Was about to say the same. May risk a flutter on this.

pep for england would be like maresca for leicester.

cant buy ready made talent and the fans will lose patience with when the tactics dont suit the players strengths.

Half the players will of played in similar tactics. Either at Man City under Pep or another top club who play more like that, than what Sounthgate was doing.

If they are going to try blame Pep for players not fitting into Southgates tactics, then there's something in having him manage England.

Pep as an international manager would be interesting. Part of his success his ability to train players (and buy incredible talent of course) on the training pitches, providing them with so much tactical information. You don't get that time in international football.

England would be such dominant force under him, a lot of Fifa and Uefa nations are probably fearing this will happen. Myself sadly don't think it will, Pep will finish up at Man City in May and then decide to take a year out like Klopp. It's more likely we will see Pep managing Brazil or Portugal sometime in the near future.

The right decision. It's a nice 3 game audition for him and also buys time before the real qualifiers start.

I actualy think he will see out the whole of the Nations league/the rest of 2024, given how utterly pointles it is.

With the permenant manager taking charge in February for the start of the WC qualifiers.

By Feb the FA could easily have someone like Howe available for free.

Sky Sports are GAGGING for the new England manager to be a saga or newsworthy thing. The way they're pushing and touting the speculation is hilarious.

We all know Carsley will get it and they can't seem to handle how simple and straightforward this process is going to be.

Maybe wrong thread but what happened to B teams?  Also never heard of a C team?

Again not sure if it's the right thread but Guppy was the first player to win a trophy at both the old Wembley (League Cup, 2000) and the current stadium (FA Trophy, 2007) with us and Stevenage respectively. A lovely little stat that often gets attributed to John Terry

Absolute disaster tonight, totally outdone by simple balls. There was no organisation players running around mindlessly. Southgate may not have been the best for at least he knew how to get the team player as a unit. Sorry but that was schoolboy stuff and while I was willing to give Carsley a chance you can’t after that. I honestly could have had them organised better. No midfield, the defence just all over the place, the forward line didn’t know where to go. The 5 upfront just stepped on each others toes not one dropped back abit or even tried to give us any width

Sounds like a fan who wants to see all out attack and no balance defensively in the side picked the team!

We all know the defence is weak at times so surely need to have some cover?

Yeah it was a setup that you will get away with against San Marino but any side with professional players no chance
