Dmitry Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 What will the new manager do? Will he make these grown men better players? Our defense is a sieve. I don't care is Faes plays for the Belgian selection...it's their problem. And JJ is not the same since his injury. Desperately needing two high quality defenders. I see the same problem with my son's Under-17 side: bad defending ruins games, good defending inspires against stronger teams. 1

This is what is wrong with this idiotic happy clapper fan base. The tactics were off in the 2nd half and we lost because forest adapted to the game. Cooper didn't because he didn't know what to do that's why we got dry F#cked in the 2nd half. Calm down sweetheart. Absolutely embarrassing the speed at which young people rocket into insults, "happy clapper" statements and anger. There are people in the world, that have different opinions to you. Youll have a long road ahead of you if they anger you this much. Kisses x 1 1

It’s all good and well Winks telling everyone his love affair with Enzo but where was the players adapting to being out played/ out fought by Forest. In turn, I don’t want a manager listening to Harry ****ing Winks or anyone else. Boss it man. You’re in the hot seat, don’t go experimenting for ****ing Forest at home. 4
Popular Post Claudio Fannieri Posted 26 October 2024 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2024 I think there is a noticeable drop off in the quality of coaching and management since Enzo and co departed and whilst he was far from perfect I think people, including the players are have cottoned on pretty sharpish to the massive downgrade and drop off in standards 9

All just feels so pointless. Id love to know how Ricardo inverting into midfield again came about. Wonder which player decided we should try that. My money is on Winks or Vardy. 1
Corky Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 Saw last night a team that had upgraded it's manager and one that hasn't. Has to win next week before the run of matches after. 1

Cooper prob thought, F it I'll give them what they want and they'll prob shut up when it goes tits up....Wrong 😂 1

I agree with this, they aren't going to sack him yet, even if we lose to Ipswich, obviously pending other results, we may still be 16th/17th. That said a loss to Ipswich ... we then head into man united, chelsea and brentford away. We could easily be on the back end of 5 losses in a row by then and I think that's him probably done. Alternatively beat Ipswich and find a positive result/performance from 1 of the next 3 and I dont think you can sack him 🤷 1
DezFox Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 He ain’t going anywhere. It will get worse before it gets better. This board is slow, and below average. They are going through the motions with their eyes shut just hoping that luck helps us. They will have will have to too much respect for Steve cooper and not show the ruthlessness required for success. Sacking him now will mean admitting they were wrong and that just doesn’t happen here. They are never wrong, another game wasted, he is building nothing. However, it going exactly as expected. Outplayed in every game, even the ones we have won. (Walsall included) most shots faced, goals coming from individual brilliance, not team plan, strategy or clarity on roles.

Happy Fox Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 3 wins from 11 games is absolutely magic well done Forest legend Steve Cooper. Said no one ever except for our board 1

I would actually love to see a poll on that... I'm genuinely curious! I liked Enzo for 97.6% of his time here. I called for his head when it started to wobble at the end, as we clearly had one of the best squads the Championship has ever seen. Clearly I was wrong to do so and did out of frustration after losing games to relegation fodder. I’m 100% Cooper out and have been since pre season. What even was that 2nd half last night. Mav won’t defend like Fatawu. Krisitiansen is a better defensive fullback. He’s got to be the left back option based on what we’ve seen. It’s hard to say if the right back slot was Ricardo being rusty or clearly having lost his form and ability. Faes is shocking and looks so much worse without Vestergaard next to him. I’d rather see Okali / Vestergaard. Ndidi can’t play as an advanced midfielder when he’s pressed as much. He’s a great retriever of the ball. On it he doesn’t have the level of ability as other squad players. I’m still not sure why we signed Skipp, as unless we play a double pivot with him and Winks, what does he offer differently?
nettle Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 He just isn't very good is he both tactically and in a motivational way. I'm sure most fans never wanted him in the first place because of the forest links and him being absolutely shit. Let's hope he's gone sooner rather than later to give everyone a lift 🤞🏻
KFS Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 It’s just crap because it’ll take relegation for him to fook off. Such a horrible fit all round 1
foxinsocks Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 THis is baffling. Cooper's record shows he has worked with flair p[layers and must be well versed in mixing things up midgame to get a result. Yet the steve cooper we have is ultras cautious and seems to lean towards players who are duff. Everton at home was a game offering 3 points imo - yet we p[layed so cautiously. Is he trying to get sacked - I just can't work it out. 1
Popular Post Claudio Fannieri Posted 26 October 2024 Popular Post Posted 26 October 2024 Team selection was fine, 1st half was a very reasonable performance and looked like we had found the best starting XI then one tactical tweak by Nuno and it all came crashing down whilst Cooper just stood there like a rabbit in the headlights or a supply teacher with not one clue or ounce of respect from his players to have the know how or ability to make a proactive change to wrestle back some semblance of control. Nuno should how a manager can impact a game whilst sadly our Manager looked like a lost boy on the sideline. 6

coolhandfox Posted 26 October 2024 Posted 26 October 2024 I'm not a Cooper fan and would upgrade him. But the amount of people that seems to be forgetting the majority of our defensive players where here in the last 2 season of Rodgers reign and under Smith and now Cooper. The same group have been regularly letting in 2 goals a game in the PL for in the last 3 seasons we have been in it. The aren't suddenly getting any better. It's been our achilles heel since the start of the 21/22 season. Under 3 different manager they have been poor, Faes and Justin even coughed up regular error in the championship under Enzo. Massive rebuild at the back needed, I only keep Nelson and Okoli of the current crop. 2

Doesn't matter how tactical aware you are if you give 3 goals away due to individual errors.

And I think (a lot of) the players can see it too. It is a relationship doomed to an unhappy end. The way I see it the only thing that can save us from relegation is if the board act sooner rather than later. While he was not wrong to point out individual errors being at fault for all of their goals, last night’s second half meltdown (after a decent first half) was the perfect showcase for Cooper’s tactical impotence and ineptitude. 2
