Probably.  A few of us need to up our games to get out of the mire.  West Ham could be the ones to do that first. They've got a nice run of games on paper.  As do Wolves.  We're hoping Ruud has that effect.

Problem is it's not a few players that need to up their game it's nearly the whole team apart from Mads. We are miles off it. Relying on a 37 year old Vardy to make things happen sums it up for me.

A few of us means a few of us teams. Not players.

And the point is we're all miles off it.

West Ham are relying on 34 year old Antonio, who has never been anywhere near Vardys level.

Everton are relying on a perma crock who was left on the bench today and has only gotten to double digits twice in his career and not for 3 seasons.

Saints are relying on strikers proven to be dross at this level.

The same criticisms we have of ourselves can be applied to other teams currently.

It doesn’t really matter how good Maresca is or not. It’s not like we sacked him; he was poached. 
 

FWIW I think he’s a top manager and we’d be looking a lot better had he stayed, but it’s a moot point

There's no doubt Enzo is an elite Manager I really think he would have taken us back to the top in a season or two.

 

I'm not the slightest bit surprised by his success at  Chelsea.

Enzo has the squad at Chelsea for his style to work.

 

i still believe if he would have tried it here we would have struggled - unless we had the transfer window of our dreams and signed pretty much an entire new 11

It's because he's got Palmer... who seems to have a hand in all their goals they score.... without him the other players seem lost
