There's no guarantee it works for Moyes at Everton.

He's had torrid periods at West Ham, Man United and Everton where he couldn't get results and fans wanted him gone.

Parachuting into a troubled club, which has circled the gurgler for years, at a critical period, where mistakes could be VERY costly, isn't nailed on to work out.

We got really lucky with Saint Nigel, but they they say "never go back" for a reason.

He likes working on a shoestring. Gives him something to chime on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on about, endlessly like a ****ing scratchy gravelly broken record.

Gets the job done.

Kept the HMS Shitshow-on-Mersey afloat and got Burnley to Europe.

His football isn't everyone's cup of tea but he definitely galvanises a club and gets it at least pointing in the right direction.

I wouldn't have been opposed if we had appointed him at any point over the last eighteen months. Would have been tough watching but don't think he would have done a terrible job.

Don't know how old you are , but we had a manager (Irish) in the late 90's that used to go on about how we couldn't compete with the big clubs and had to scrap for every point, which annoyed many opposition fans.

We did this amazingly well, with bargain players and journeymen,  that did a fantastic job , fought really hard and we were pretty much in every game , until the final whistle,  whoever the opposition was.

Moyes replacing Dyche will be tough on the Merses, Suttons and Sherwoods who wanted some hipster foreigner in to accuse of not knowing the league/ being someone's mate.

Grand Old Team don’t seem over the moon about the return of Moyes. lol

Everton fans are mostly deluded.

There was a hilarious tweet a few days ago where one of them thought they could realistically try and sign Isak this window because they have a new stadium and owners.

Old enough to watch Leicester before O'Neils reign and I get all that. It's just laughable people moaned Maresca was boring but are willing to watch the epitome of boring. Not sure what this love-in for Dyche currently is but he absolute ****ing hates Leicester City Football Club with a passion and has forever particularly loved getting a result against us.

I feel a little sorry for Dyche. Done a great job keeping them afloat not just in the Premiership.

Then when they get a new Owners and money to spend they dump him.

Usually how football works tbh ,takeover complete first thing they do is sack the manager more often then not!!

I remember he wasn't always that popular first time on occasions then basically walked out on them in their eyes.

The fans want fancy entertaining football I guess..

An Everton fan said they should go out and get Thomas Frank. Why on earth would he leave Brentford for Everton?!

Having said that there were multiple Leicester fans over the last 2 years who said the same…. :crylaugh:

In fairness, he probably would have been gettable if we'd sacked Rodgers before Christmas in the 22-23 season.

If he'd offered to buy baby wipes for the player he spat on, it would have only been a 2 or 3 match ban.

Are these players just angling for new sponsorship deals? lol
