Modern football...in england anyway.

If you'd been to the Amex you'd know why folk leave games there early.

The infrastructure around there is not the best, especially for evening games.

In fact, Brighton are so dependent on trains to transport fans to and from matches, they cannot host games on Boxing Day when the trains are shut down.

Just seen MOTD. The refereeing in this league is a shambles. The Spurs game was like watching corruption.

Yes can see why Ange was annoyed although think the rules meant that first Newcastle goal had to be given unfortunately for Spurs .

And Newcastle should have had a penalty too .

Obviously not Leicester related but it seems Southampton fans feel almost the same as we do.😂

Doesn't matter what league you are in, being out of your depth is a horrible experience. Both clubs were established top flight clubs now looking at two relegations in three years. They lost 25 games last time and will probably go beyond that this time.

Can’t say it enough but it’s clearly not sinking in for some - let’s get our own house in order first, let’s get some points on the table ourselves before looking at what others are gonna do, until we starting doing something for ourselves what others do is irrelevant further to that out of our control.

Control the controllable’s. At the minute we can’t control the basics.

When you are as poor as we are, you have to hope there are worse teams than us though. We aren’t making the 5 quality signings required in Jan under Rudkin, so have got to hope teams around us don’t pick up points like they have all been doing of late (other than Southampton)

If we don’t get points ourself then it’s irrelevant what others do. I don’t see where points are coming from.

I'd take the Ipswich game being called off please. Although u imagined they would've done it by now if there was a chance. Can see them getting something.

It’s 11• in London. If you’re wanting a game to be postponed it’s not going to be in the warmest city in the country lol

You can never be too careful!

Was just about to post something similar. They finished in the top 8 for 4 consecutive seasons in Poch and Koeman days, even the Le Tiss days they were mainstay although mostly in relegation battles. Imagine this place if we got beat 5 nil at home to Brentford.

Out of interest, what decision was ‘corrupt’?

The Newcastle goal was the correct decision, in line with the laws of the game. If anything, the only bad decision was Newcastle should have had a penalty for the foul on Gordon but even that was highly debatable.

Firm, but polite, murmurs of discontent

Exactly. If that Newcastle goal is not a goal then neither is our winner in the FA Cup Final because the ball hit Perez's hand to give us possession.

The only difference was the Perez one hit his leg then arm but yeah both legal goals under respective 2021 and 2025 rules.

I'm not so sure. I've seen plenty of goals ruled out because it hit an attackers arm in the build up. Irregardless of whether the arm was in a natural position or not.

They had that rule but it was changed after a lot of fuss but really we still get debate about the situation.

Yeh I think it has to be immediately put in the goal following the handball for it to be ruled out. But it's such a grey area at the moment I could see either team being annoyed yesterday whichever way it was given.
