Doesn’t mean I think he’s doing well, but he really can’t be judged yet. He’s technically still not even his a full squad at his disposal.

Playing Justin at left back is an option and then bringing Ricardo in at right back yes but Ricardo doesn't directly compete with VK for a position

Behave, a significant points deduction is what will see us relegated, not singing kumbayah in some prayer circle.

It’s an improvement. We’ve had a lot more control than in the previous games. But need Buanonotte or BEK instead of Wilf if we’re going to threaten. 
 

Okoli looks ok TBF. 
 

Skipp had a better half than Winks. 

We offer no threat of scoring though so what's the point in having "control"?

Was interested to see the reaction from those watching on a stream. At the game, it's patently obvious we need a more advanced midfielder on who can receive the ball and get Villas midfield worried about threats behind it. We've looked industrious and the players are up for it, but we didn't get into Villas box until the 40th minute. We just won't create any volume of chances with this line up against any opposition, not just European level sides.

 

Players like Skipp and Ayew have played well individually, but all the work is done in areas that don't hurt the opposition.

 

We need El Khannouss to be a star from minute one.

Wilf off and Facundo on.. give us a link between midfield and attack. Throw Bilal on for Ayew with 15 to go if we're still in touching distance

That’s what I mean. Kristiansen does not deserve a place in the first team when we have Ricardo sitting on the bench. Move Justin. Also, Kristiansen is pretty ordinary.

We are reasonably competitive but we need a bit of quality in midfield. Winks, Skipp and N'didi should never play as a 3 in any game ever

Saints conceded from messing up their passing out from the back, just like the Newcastle game, and Armstrong missed an unmarked volley from 6 yards out. 

On paper they're still shit and they're struggling with applying their style.  Long may it continue.

For some reason we are the main game on Croatian Sky. Walked pass the bar and the game was on. 
 

****ing hell we are passive and boring. It’s like watching a team in the cup and the opposition are keeping us at arms length

I thought that was Ayew’s job, but he has drilled too often to the left because Kristiansen has been quite ineffective there.

Problem is the left side. No creativity and Ayew likes to go more central. We really need to put JJ on the left, Ricky on the right and then have Mavididi as the left midfielder. The balance is all wrong as Fatawu loves to hug the line

Apart from the defensive brain farts, we've played with more energy than in the first couple of games. But if you set up with no real attacking intent at home, simply trying not to lose, then relegation beckons, points deduction or no. Second half he must change tactics and personnel and have a go. Nothing to lose and the fans deserve nothing less.

Felt at times like there was a chasm between Vardy et al up top and the rest of the team, no real link between back and front, no gaps for Winks or whoever to slot it through. I do think we miss Vesty a lot when he doesn’t play, but yeah you’d hope one of Buonanatte or Bilal come on before the hour mark

playing out from the back is the greatest risk for the bottom half sides

Maybe Rudkin decided to try and do a Ted Lasso thing and hire the worst possible manager in the hope he'd surprise everyone with his charm and actually end up being quite good.

 

Except it turns out Ted Lasso is a fictional TV show and Steve Cooper is actually just shit.
