It was at worst probably subconscious bias oops I think I meant unconscious bias well he must have been asleep to put Man U fans in dreamland.

Why you wouldn't allow VAR if its available is a mystery. Granted not all grounds have it, but surely the more incorrect decisions you can correct across the competition, the better. It's not really an unfair advantage, you're just as likely to gave a goal chalked off.

This is the same linesman who only last Feb wrongly ruled out the Daka goal that cost us at Leeds...

Says it all.

Club should publicly complain and call it out.

The 'issue' is that the rules state you are only in an offside position is you interfere with play, so only Maguire was offside at the point he heads the ball. The only excuse I can make for the lino is that he was blindsided by the 3 other players in offside positions who weren't technically offside and he missed Maguire who was deeper.  Still shocking officiating whatever excuse you make.

Understand why the rule was brought in, but for set pieces like this i think 'interfering with play' becomes subjective. All 4 players are trying to pull the defense deeper but we stick to our high line. By doing this, the 4 players are effectively interfering with play.  Furthermore if the 3 other players have distracted the lino and he's missed Maguire, then again they are interfering with the decision making and thus interfering with play.

I'd like to see the rule scrapped, or maybe reintroduced for set pieces as i hate seeing the attacking team all standing in offside positions.

Maguire was the closest player to him, so no obstruction... its just blatant cheating.

The offside on Friday had the biggest leicester hater I've ever met telling me it was either corruption or the linesman isn't fit for the job. Still can't get my head around it lol

I said blindsided - not obstructed. Magure was deeper so i presume he was focussed on the other players ahead of him. Personally don't think it was corruption - jus incompetence.

For me it was just too obvious to be incompetent.  You coukd have dragged a guy off the street and they wouldn't get that wrong.... there was no movement they were are just stood still!

Just sent this to [email protected] no idea if it's the right address but it has complaints in it lol

_______

Dear FA

Having observed the Manchester United Vs Leicester City fa cup game on 7th February, I would like to enquire whether the cup competition is infact rigged or suffers from corruption.
As the FA cup is your competition, its reasonable to expect it to be officiated by competent and fair officials.

However, in this instance, the second goal scored by Manchester United was undisputedely offside, with no possible explanation as to why the linesman didn't flag as he had a clear line of sight from a static free kick. It could also be said the free kick was questionable in the first place, but at least this could be argued for and against.

Therefore I'd like to complain about the result and raise the possibility that infact the linesman was corrupted or was biased and wanted to see Manchester United through, or possibly he was acting on another person's or organisations wishes.

At the very least this affair is extremely damaging for a competition as prestigious as the FA cup and I, along with a large audience who watched it unfold on National TV,  at least deserve an explanation as to what has happened in this case and how the decision came about.

I look forward to your response.  My next port of call will be my local MP if you aren't able to respond or put my mind at rest that this matter is indeed being investigated.

They will do exactly what the FA stands for the FA Will do ABSOLUTELY FUCH ALL for the smaller clubs that are not the old big 6 W️s, they’ll do nothing but say unfortunately the decision was made which can’t be changed so FUCH OFF love the FA !!

Sadly this is true but the club and the public deserve an explanation else one can only come to the conclusion it was indeed rigged. Whether that's a pay off or just a desire to do damage to lcfc, or get their beloved man ure into the next round, who knows.  But in the absence of any other explanation, that's all that fly's. It's upto all of us to not let it be forgotten... I still haven't seen any explanation offered. The club at the very least should be looking for answers.

This has absolutely nothing to do with VAR.

This is down to the sheer incompetence of some one being able to perform the basics of their role.

Or, more likely, corruption.

It's shit that's why. And if VAR didn't exist this lino flags for offside imo.. They've become lazy and even more cowardly because of VAR.

Like anything in life, when you become reliant on technology to basically wipe your backside we become lazy and less competent. The linesman on Friday is probably used to VAR bailing him out. Don't get me started on smart speakers and car parking assist......

He saw something no one else did or in this case didn’t spot the obvious?!

The fact the player scoring had a Manchester United badge on their shirt, therefore the goal stands?

I'm done with this shit.

Travelling up from plymouth in May to watch Glen Villa in the Saturday county cup final. That will be the next and probably last game I'll watch.
