Where's this news come from?

Think Jim is ITK, he told us Nyoni was going to Liverpool before anyone else, must have contacts.

Inevitable really. Just as long as the wonga is ok

Hopefully we can use the Monga Wonga to cook the books

If he is going to Man City, because he's under 16, we'll probably not get a penny for him and then end up with a nominal fee through tribunal. Hope it works out for him as Man City are notorious for hoovering up young talent and then spitting them out when they aren't seen as being good enough.

How come he's still with us? And how much at Man City paying for him?

He said his contact was close to Nyoni's father. Doesnt mean his contact regarding Monga is reliable

Would still get something for him in the form of training compensation but it won't be a ground-breaking fee and not payable until he signs a professional deal with Man City.

Makes me wonder what we're doing wrong at Seagrave if Nyoni and now Monga are off to bigger clubs at such a young age.

I understand the appeal of going to a big 6 club but you'd think they would have a better shot of professional football here, rather than sitting in the reserves for a few years and out on loan 3-4 times.

Trey Nyoni has already had his first start for Liverpool at 17 years old. Will Alves is yet to start for us at 19 (albeit he had a serious injury).

Our talents have a better chance of first team minutes at big six sides than they do at us. That just the state the club is in right now.

£20k PW at 16 years old probably helps.

Fair point.

Answers my question of what we're doing wrong.

Are we surprised?

When a player like Monga whose ability is clear to anyone, we as a club can’t simply leave them in the u21’s.

If this is true, there just seems no way to compete whatsoever and that’s with a state of the art training ground.

Man City get him for virtually nothing and can sell him for millions even if he's only average. That's their business model, hoover up young kinds and sell them on.
