Feel a bit sorry for Ayew. He'll probably end up being synonymous with this Cooper era as a bit of a joke figure, not due to poor individual performances per se, just the fact he is the player embodiment of Coopers safety first attitude. He's a useful player in the right circumstances, just those circumstances aren't starting every game.

Ayew has been alright, and Abdul’s decision making has been all over the place, so I’m not surprised… though I’d probably still prefer Fatawu in a game we need to win. Hopefully he gets half an hour against tired legs.

I’ve said it before (and been greeted with scepticism), but I honestly believe Ayew only agreed to sign for us because he was assured he’d be in the first 11 when fit and Cooper is determined to honour that promise.

I mean especially after last week, the selection of JJ is justified. If anything, it’s Vestergaard that I miss the most (and Fatawu).

Well in the league who's got an assist etc?

I don't think ayew does, fatawu has looked better in every respect

Hard to disagree without showing some degree of favouritism, I just wish we were earlier making sybs so they had some chance of making a difference.
