This isn't a "dig" at fans as such but I just can't see how many of our fans think this team would be able to play possession football if Enzo had stayed at this level with a net spend of £50m on players. Pretty much every time we play out from the back we look shakey, different ways of approaching playing out of the back obviously, but I just can't see how we would have achieved it without being a defensive bombshell, we need to play to suit our squad and passing it around deep inside of our own half under pressure is causing us big issues.

It’s just very frustrating- he gets in good positions and then misses plenty of howlers- probably because  he gets in so many positions I don’t think it’s worth dissecting though.  enjoy the game chap!

3 of the key players that made playing out of the back a viable option under Maresca are not being played. Vesty, Riccy and Winks were vital to that way of playing. Not sure how you draw the conclusion about how we look playing out when the players that made it possible last season aren't playing.
