Honestly he looked decent in pre-season but I feel I've been duped, he was awful today.

Must be utter dog muck to be the worst player in a trio of Faes, Vestergaard & Okoli. Reminds me a lot of Amartey without the ability to be able to actually defend a bit.

 

Any offer get this clown off the books and write it off as another expensive failure.

Watched him last season too. I've said previously, he made similar mistakes first half at Brighton, but scored the equaliser and people easily forgot about all the basic mistakes from the first half.

He’s terrible in the air, not cut out for English football. 
Notts Forest at home, last season was a prime example.

I think there is a decent player in there, but I wonder if he'd be more suited to the Italian league than the English leagues. 

 

Like with all the squad, if we get a decent offer, we'll consider it. 

 

I believe we paid around £13m (€15m) for him, so we probably owe around  £10m still for him. £15-20m and I think we'd consider it. 

 

Would mean we'd need a new centre back though, we need 4 and there are still question marks over whether Faes will still be here. 

 

I think Nelson, Jannik and Souttar are the only ones guaranteed to be here come September, and the latter probably won't be match fit until around November at the earliest. 

 

Loaning a centre back wouldn't be a bad move. Callum Doyle anyone?

Stop it he went into to steal the ball like all our central defenders do and he didn’t come out on top. Every defender has times when this happens. Apart from that he was ok he coverd well when yanik made a mistake and has good recovery pace. Think it’s over the top he’s a good defender. Wout has a shocker in him every game and so does yanik

I’m stunned by all the comments how he’s been picked out as a donkey cuz he miss times one attempt to win the ball that led to a goal. Honestly some of our fans are unbelievable

When I talk about the basics, I start with the number of misplaced passes that put the team under pressure. I want my defenders to do the basics correctly, something that he is incapable of.

Thought he was alright apart from his ability on the ball, pretty poor - which is integral when coming up against a team sitting in like they did yesterday and ultimately why he brought Faes on instead. 
 

I get Vestergaard has got some of your back up, but if you can’t see how important a player like he is in trying to break down a team like that yesterday (of which we’ll face many more) then I don’t know what to tell you. 
 

I’d bet that Nelson and Vestergaard are the pairing by the end of September.

Never looked comfortable on the ball at any point throughout the game. Physically strong and a great presence, but terrifying passing around the back
