I’ve already excepted we are going down we are just not good enough. It’s just a pity it’s come to this

Are we even linked with anyone anymore?

This window really shows what a shambles the club is behind the scenes.

2-3 signings in the right positions could save our season and help us maintain PL status, but with a little over a week to go we’ve signed a backup right back.

If there are less than 3 signings in Jan, and within a month, they don't get a lot of minutes and we get results like Palace & Fulham.

The last 3 months are going to be toxic down the KP

Predicted absolutely ages ago that Coulibaly was your lot. Cant get rid of Edouard and butchers any flexibility we would have had for a PL loan. We won't be spending anymore!

We need a Vesty with pace and who can head the bloody ball and dominate.

So not a Vesty then?

Albert Grønbæk already wants out of Rennes and the club are unhappy too. Sampaoli has left him out of the squad entirely today.

Were there actual links to him or was it just some fans that wanted him here?

Either way, he's available if we need another offensive player/winger.

He's now strongly rumoured to go to Saints. Wow.

Pearson said in the Leicester Mercury: “The January window is a difficult window to operate in.

It is normally a window in which you bring in players not necessarily for the short-term, but it becomes a need for change.
When you are building a side you tend to do the business in the summer".
Nigel back in 2014 - the business we did in January with him:
2011/12
Drinkwater
Morgan
Marshall
(Nathan Delfounseo on loan)
2012/13
Wood
(Kane on loan in Feb)
2013/14
Mahrez
Phillips
2014/15
Kramaric (I think we also tried for Shinji in that January but it didnt come off).
(Huth loan).
That's FOUR January windows - except for Marshall, each one contributed in some way to the squad which was very much built in the summer windows.
If you do big business in January or need to do big business in January, you're most proabably badly ran. Under Rudkin in the last 2 January windows in the PL, we have been desperate for signings.

3 weeks in and we have signed a RB who I'm pretty sure would have been on the list from when Maresca was here as he signed him at Parma, and the only other rumour seems to be for a keeper when we already have 4!

Have we just given up? or are Top and Rudkin so deluded that they think the players are good enough to stay up??

What on earth are the recruitment team doing?? Surely they should have 3-4 players identified in every position on the pitch??

The board don't give a f**k mate, we must have the joint worst ownership in the topflight and championship alongside Sheffield Wednesday.

Surprised this hasn't been picked up on before, or maybe I missed it

Sad how things change. It wasn't that many years ago our owners came out near the top in a survey of supporters, regarding their overall satisfaction on how well they felt their club was run.

A ball winning midfielder would be a good start Winks and Soumare are weak as piss in there.

Yep, this has been a big issue - Winks especially. I thought him and Soumare wouldn't work together and that's been proven.

I think RVN sees this too, hence the link to Toby Collyer but looks like he's part of Amorin's plans now.

Generally, feels like the club are stuck between deciding whether to go for it and invest more, or lick their wounds and rebuild in the Championship.

Or they could also be waiting for the Cannon money so they can get a different profile of player? It's all such a mess!

I'm starting to think that we were never really in for Fotis Ioannidis and Adam Hlozek in the summer, we are apparently close to the second and clearly wanted another striker in a different profile to Vardy, but we ended up with Edouard as the "cheap" option. Were the board just leaking things to the media to keep fans happy? Because if we were really in for them, we clearly should be doing the same this window as Edoard is shite so there is still a position to fill. It's so frustrating!!!!!!

Should have went for Evann Guessand for £15-20 million in the summer.

But instead we used that money for a back up central midfielder :nono:

I've posted this guy before but surely we should be looking at him.

Composure and passing of a midfielder.

Dribbling of a winger (despite not being fully physically developed)

Movement and finishing of a striker

Only 18 yrs old

Apparently available for £10mil because of parent club's financial issues.
