The master plan from here is

Wins

Southampton (H)

Ipswich (H)

Wolves (H)

West Ham (H)

Brentford (H)

Fulham (H)

Crystal Palace (H)

Draws:

Everton (A)

Man Utd (H)

Newcastle (H)

Wolves (A)

West Ham (A)

That takes us to 36 points and we should be safe, obviously football doesn’t always pan out how you think it will, and for everyone of these games we don’t pick up the points, we need to find somewhere else to get them.

I think we are on par so far, I would have liked to pick up 3 points v Everton, but I would have had Bournemouth down for a point.
Fulham away I’d have liked a point, but didn’t expect one against Spurs.

I voted no... but i think yes... but our squad is no where near good enough... but this is one of "those" seasons in the EPL.

The squad is only as good as what the manager is and can develop.

A half decent managed would make this squad perform much better infact I would say that they are underperforming compared to last year dramatically due to being poorly coached now.

Every season me and my son

go over every game to see if the result was accurate and in reality how many points should we have vs what we did accrue. We are always only 1-3 points out.

Guess what we are on 10 and we think that’s accurate.

so to answer the question, yes I think we will stay up.

If we sack Cooper this week we will survive all this squad needs is a half decent coach nothing special or nobody special just a real manager.

If we don't sack him we are relegated

We'll be relegated then, he's nowhere near the exit door.

Looking at the fixtures when they came out I had us down as needing 12 points from these first ten matches or I thought that would probably be it.

The next 6 fixtures will tell us a lot more about our chances but I'm not confident we will stay up if we keep Cooper on as manager.

Hermansen should keep us up this year but not by much

Yeah, most people seem to underestimate the importance of goalkeepers, I’d argue it’s the single most crucial position on the team.

In the 22/23 season, the three teams that went down also had the three worst keepers.

The squad is comparable to Ipswich and Southampton, so if any of the three promoted teams stay up they would have had a good season. Good to see the majority think we will achieve this, despite the negativity.

I think it will be tough and probably 50/50 at the minute.

What about Arsenal hammering us. And Spurs should have also .

We have big opponents coming up. If we can pick up a few points from them would be a great help.

But we need to up our performances as a team.

What ifs buts and maybes Arsenal didn't hammer us they scored a late winner and the fourth was a joke when the game was won for them Justin passed the ball to havertz in his desperation to clear, otherwise it would have been offside n 3 2. Spurs were spursy 1st half good 2nd not so in fairness Vardy should have scored 2 2nd half.  We have to finish top of the mini  league of 6 at the bottom.  At the moment 10 games gone we are.   Job so far done.

No chance as long as Cooper stays Incharge. As joyful as the last 2 away games have been in winning late points we've been extremely lucky. That luck will run out at some point!

Don't teams create their own luck?  One thing we are doing this season is playing right to the bitter end, we are not giving up?  Players are still playing for Cooper that part is obvious.

I voted yes. My prediction at the start of the season was that the three promoted teams would drop. I think we're about where I thought we'd be in terms of points, but the bad starts from Wolves and Palace has helped. I reckon averaging 0.9ppg for the remainder keeps us up.

This forum is so funny. Loads of people voting down but giving ample reason why we’ll stay up.

- Keeper is excellent

- Somehow he’s got Ayew scoring goals

- We’re winning points on the road

- Grinding out points while playing terribly

My biggest thing against the manager is that I don’t think he actually knows what tactics to use and why. Big test between now and Christmas.

I think we’re better than Palace and Wolves for sure. West Ham will work it out and Everton are simply teflon

I think we need to strengthen in January, we need at least 1 fullback and a CF.

Agred. But I wouldn't let Cooper anywhere near our spending.

I wouldn't trust him to buy a bag of crisps.

Any player bought for him is going to be a waste of money.

I didn’t watch the game and only heard a bit of commentary at the start, but After yesterday we showed we can play rubbish and get points. Ipswich again showed they can be the better team and still drop points. It will annoy both Leicester and Ipswich fans when we stay up at their expense. Everyone bangs on about Ipswich having a better manager than us, but I would hope steve cooper would substitute one of our players who looked like he was going to get red card, before he did get a red card.

And on the slip side, Ipswich are dropping points while playing well.

My current suspicion is that the bottom three or four are so weak that we could be like Cooper's Forest and be atrocious for 90% of the season, but punctuate it with a couple of passable spells to stay up by the skin of our teeth. It'll be unpleasant to watch and unspeakably frustrating, but we might have enough even with Cooper holding us back.

Season Two might be more of an issue, and I think he'll always be two or three games away from the sack. He categorically isn't a long-term solution.

Pre season I had us nailed on to go down. A lot of our play has been atrocious. However we are at a better point than I expected. So let’s see the next 4 games if we can pick up say 3 points maybe, lose them all probably in trouble. I hate to say it but let’s see. The one nailed on thing is it is not going to be pretty.

Why then did Mads make a record number of saves against Arsenal.

And they still managed to score 4 goals.

The fact is we've been poor for large parts of every game.

And it only gets tougher from here. Let's see where we are in January. Then with a signing or two we might just stay up.

Him using Maresca's system is proof to me he has no actual plan of his own. He's not got a clue.
