fox_up_north Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 Just realised this isn't even on telly. Have Sky given up on them?
foxsake Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 A 5-3 redux with Vardy renaissance would be a miraculous early Christmas pressie. Imagine Vardy stepping onto the pitch with a fresh rendition of his 2014 mohican, 100% red bull in his veins.. Ricardo dons on a joke shop hooter in homage to Richie De Laet Ollie Skip shaves his head and starts speaking Spanish to invoke the spirit of Cambiasso 2014 etc. What dreams may come.. 1
Scotch Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 This is one I wouldn't mind Ndidi, Skipp and Winks start. Crowd out the CM position and have Buonnanotte start on the right, drifting in centrally with Ricardo overlapping and JJ tucking in with the CB's to make it a back 3 on the ball. 2

Tuna Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 Man United always seem to get a lot of luck in home games, they can play absolutely shite and still get wins/draws. Look at 2/3 of the goals last week v us in the Carabao. If we are on it, we can snatch something but I'm expecting a 3-1 defeat. 1

If we demonstrate fight energy bravery and teamwork we can come away with points in this one. A win will take us above them in the table but we need to be bold and assertive. COYB I doubt the players are quite as convinced of the mother of all bummings as foxestalk is. I see an upper mid table side with three or four decent players against a lower middle of the table side with two or three decent players. The gap isn't vast. It tips in their favour but this game is by no means out of bounds as this board would have us all believe
Clarkey123 Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 Would go same team Enzo style, catch them with pace on the break. Soumare in for Ndidi or at least on at half time if we’re down. JJ has to start over VK for me, for how competent VK is at defending he’s hideous at retaining the ball and decision making. Fear it’s going to be Ayew for Fatawu, VK and Justin full backs and we get pumped though.
NJFox Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 Local brewery opening at 9am for this. Likely means double IPAs for the second half, the pessimism runs deep

You cannot blame people for thinking we are gonna get pumped.

The good news is that Man Utd have decided to rest Anthony Taylor for this game. They're saving him for their bout against Liverpool.
Number 6 Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 See these next two as a bit of a free hit. Would like to see us manage to successfully frustrate them a bit. The issue with low blocks we've implemented so far is that we've still given up good chances. Would be a good problem to crack given the run of games we have.

In 2 sentences you've already surpassed Cooper's tactical potential 1
Marmite Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 Todays line up is honking, plus no Vardy 😞 Hermansen, Justin, Kristiansen, Faes, Vestergaard, Winks, Soumaré, Ndidi, Fatawu, Buonanotte, Ayew Subs: Coady, Okoli, Mavididi, El Khannouss, Choudhury, Skipp, Edouard, McAteer, Ward 1

Legend_in_blue Posted 10 November 2024 Posted 10 November 2024 If we turn up at 3pm instead, can we waive the need to play the game?

The Soumare selection....cooper will soon find out as his runners ghost past him Will be interesting if Ayew or Buonnotte played central.. Secondly,.at least we can get stronger off the bench as the game wears on..
