I dont think you can write off Corberan. He has a few difficulties this season but the job he has done at West Brom cannot go unnoticed. Even this year they are top 6. Didnt they sell their top striker in the summer ?

WBA played some really good stuff at the KP last year. It might be he needs the step up and he's proven to get the best out of a limited squad.

Manager stock goes up and down very quickly and he is on a down but there is a lot of good in him.

People seem to have forget that Brighton didn’t score many goals under Potter in his first couple of seasons and they were pretty boring to watch. It only clicked towards the end of his tenure but some of that may have been about recruitment. They improved under De Zerbi too.
I think I’d prefer Moyes personally. Who the squad respond to best is key though.

If it really is between RVN and Moyes then I’d go for Moyes.

We’ve been able to score goals this year without any tactical coherence or strategy.

We just need our defence and mentality sorting out.

Moyes, Irvine, McKinlay and Nolan would sort that.

Im really not sure RVN comes with the staff capable of dealing with our circumstance.

I really hope it’s not between those 2.

Michael Carrick is better than Corberan imo.

I'm warming to the idea of Rutgerus Johannes Martinus van Nistelrooij and although he was a great player, he could also be a petulant twat.

Maybe he's grown up a bit now but I can see him getting all smacked arse if things don't go his way here from the off.

Nice one mate now my 1 year old daughter is going to want Rutgerus Johannes Martinus van Nistelrooij printed on the back of her 2024/25 LCFC away kit, arm and a leg so close to Christmas n all

I get the sense the club have made a move for RVN.

If you’re already thinking of ditching your manager and you come up against a basket case of a team twice in quick succession - who under there new temporary manager smashes you twice - you’re going to be impressed by the man in the other dugout.

Queue some tentative enquiries over the weeks to follow and then a realisation that you need to act immediately if this is the guy you want to get in - the strange timeline starts making more sense.

The points about him setting up defensively regardless of opposition is my main concern with Moyes and why I find it a bit odd seeing so many people refer to him as pragmatic, which I understand is everyone's new favourite word even if they don't really understand what it means. Apparently playing the same style every week is really bad unless that style involves getting everyone behind the ball and launching it when you get it, in which case it's pragmatism.

True story: met Warnock at a Torquay game a couple of weeks ago. He is a character and a half! He said to me ‘no offence but I hope you get relegated’. Asked why, he said Cooper had screwed him over three times: ‘I hate the bloke’!

On that basis alone, gerrimin lol

So why hasn't there been an announcement yet? Media reports suggest we haven't got an agreement with anybody...

Which is what I find weird. I wouldn't expect an announcement minutes after the sacking but a few days after and before the next match would make sense. Why not after United when we had 2 weeks to bed someone in?

If we don’t announce this tomorrow then I’m completely done with the ownership. Removing your coaching staff and manger whilst you’re still playing for three points in six days time is ridiculous unless you’ve got someone to step straight in.
I don’t care how crap cooper is, he’s still better than no one and anyone thinking that is deluded.

Dont worry mate, the players are dressed as telletubbies in Copenhagen

Surely we’re bigger than them? Or is that just me being naïve?

They are much bigger than us.

they move into a 60k stadium next year which will be full every week.

the last time they played below the top tier was many decades ago

they’ve won nothing since 1995 but they have a much larger fanbase than we do
