There have been media reports about Potter's deal with Chelsea. Saying exactly what I wrote. He is locked up for 18 more months on 15mil. If he takes another job he loses that deal.

If that’s true we ain’t getting Potter. I’d like to see us take a gamble on a foreign coach, like we did with Enzo.

No leaks in the media about what is going on! Most peculiar indeed no?

Not really. The club is pretty secretive and pretty good at keeping things in house. RVN and Potter are currently joint favourites at 3/1 - those kind of odds suggest nobody has a clue.

Could be his 2-3-5 formation set up? Admittedly, we won the World Cup playing this way back in 1966, but things have moved on.......A more modern approach, like we had with Enzo, is probably the best way to get us out of the mess, in conjunction with binning off Dufkin and undergoing a root and branch review of football operations.

If we want a guy to get us organized, believing, and competent for one season to survive, Moyes seems like a pretty solid bet to me.

Moyes has a literal body of work which implies he is without the best candidate for the job. You’re living in cloud cuckoo land if you think someone like RVN is even remotely qualified. We need to stay up, no gambles no half measures get the best in class

Did I mention RVN?   By the way I do not live in Cuckoo Land, next door actually in Austria.

Tbf currently doing a decent job at Strasbourg

Spent over €55million and averaging a point a game, less than they did last year with Viera.

Yeah triffic.

I said decent. Not good or strong. They are currently 11th, they were 13th last season (difficult to compare two seasons because Ligue Un has less teams now). Looking at their fixtures they’ve played the top sides.

Was hardly worth twenty laughing emojis. Not like Rosensior is doing a shit job for a club who have finished 13th, 15th, 6th, 15th, 10th, 11th, 15th in recent years

Last season they spent approx the same amount

This lad has been pretty much on the money with info regarding Cooper. So if his contact is right looks like it will be RVN and announced by tomorrow and rising tensions with Rudkin and Whelan.

Not my first choice but I think Rosenior is a decent manager, did really well with Hull last season to have them anywhere near play off contention for so long. The fact they are now languishing in the bottom 6 shows he has more than a bit about him, not sure he is the right person at this stage though.

even if Ruud doesn't work out, I'd be delighted with that outcome. we've been an unprofessional mess for 3 years because dumb and dumber have been given free reign to run the club while Top just signs checks

The one time Moyes took on a team that were potential relegation candidates (Sunderland), the team were relegated. Moyes kept two big established premier league teams treading water in the prem but we are no longer that after the relegation and the clampdown on PSR. We are like Sunderland were.

It took me 5 takes before I realised this wasn't Emma Hayes!

Genuinely thought it was Emma Hayes too, missed her appointment at the facial hair waxing salon.

Really hope I’m wrong, but I can see Ruud being a car crash. Not ready for a PL survival gig.

the list of kovac, Schmidt etc is the shortlist we should be using, maybe with the addition of potter and moyes.

Please don’t be Southgate, please don’t be Southgate.

The sole reason I have no interest in watching England anymore.

If he can nullify some of the best attacking players in the world, just think what he could do with our front line!

There aren’t any actual rumours about Southgate, are there? Besides, why would he join a club mid-seaaon during a relegation scrap when he can afford to take a break and pick up a job next summer if he wants?

Sunderland was a very different situation was a massive basket case club and lead to back to back relegations, they treaded water for several years. He saved West Ham twice took them from relegation to the top 6. I think it’s a futile argument cause he can probably do better, but he is without doubt the best in class available and anyone turning their nose up on him is wild

Because nobody with half a brain is offering him a job.
