I guess the difference here is that your guy was in a job & had his staff with him, so he goes they go with as part of the package.

Word is he was pulling a team together prior to taking the Man U coaching role as he had manager jobs lined up but once Man U came in he dropped the options.

The 2 guys he did know there 1 has come with and the other (Hake) looks to be getting a manager job himself back home.

I imagine the rest of the team he was going to get prior to Man U have sorted themselves out so if he wanted those there is the compensation and breaking of contracts along with do they want to come to consider I guess, not a simple come with.

Did he have no staff at PSV though? I'm sure they would have moved to the Prem if the offer was there.

Yeah on all accounts he had put a team together to go elsewhere abroad but the lure to Man U as ‘staff’ was to tempting for him personally so that team broke up and have since probably found new jobs 🤷‍♂️ 

Had he been Man U perm manager for more than a month I’d imagine he’d have ‘his’ team with him who would then come along for the ride but…

So basically he's flying solo with a makeshift backroom/coaching staff? 

 

No wonder he looks a bit lost on the touchline.

Yep other than Coopers staff, he’s got JTR with him although Hake left with him when he left Man U & probably would have been more of a help, he’s been offered his own manager role back home so can’t blame him on that.

Barry’s highly thought of so that’s another 1 in and we will be negotiating with members of that original team he put together I’d imagine so hopefully the 2nd half (business end) of the season we will be on a better footing staff wise.

 

Just think due to Ruud’s circumstance, as in he was an assistant himself, he didn’t have his own team to follow him immediately so it was always going to take a little time getting them in.

I noticed on the touchline there was another coach coming out and shouting instructions. 

 

On one occasion Ruud looks over with an element of surprise. 

 

This guy needs his own team. It's like giving Lewis Hamilton a driving instructors car and asking him to win a race.

It started after the charity shield win. I remember watching Rodgers post match interview, and his body language was really odd…. When he gave the answers to his questions, he was aiming his answers at all of the other journalists and pundits stood nearby. Was the first game of the season when he officially gave up but the board didn't realize until the damage was already done.

 

I was under the impression that it was Rodgers who let Kasper go... but that doesn't seem to be the case with him now being at Celtic with him.. I think if we had kept Kasper we would have never have gone down.

 

Board got us relegated, simple as that.

He will know more than anyone he needs a performance that shows some energy, grit and desire. 

 

He'll be furious (I hope) if we roll over for a belly tickle again.
