Let’s see what happens in Jan - our summer transfer were very hit and miss.  We need 2 or 3 quality players to stand a chance and no more injuries.

It’s a improvement on Cooper but that’s not a high benchmark

Ruud can phone me for advice about the players.  Wolves was a winnable game but not with Danny Ward in goal.  I think I could have helped him avoid this misstep

He’s made one mistake: 135 minutes of Danny Ward.

Take that out of the equation and it’s a win against a decent calibre West Ham team, a spirited draw against a strong Brighton side,  1-0 down to a strong Newcastle side and still in it at half time and giving top of the table Liverpool a decent run for their money.

Now that error is pretty huge. You’d hope any Leicester manager had done his due diligence to know that Ward is miles off it at this level. But I think he had a decision to make on his principles (the risk of Ward, and stay true to what he’s trying to get his players to buy into, or Iversen and abandon playing out from the back) and he paid a price.

The good thing is that he learned that lesson sharpish and has bombed Ward completely out of the squad at the next possible opportunity.

He’s working with a horrendous squad, thanks to injuries to some of our best and poor recruitment, and probably needs 3 in January to stand a chance. Would you trust our DOF to get those 3 over the line and to do so quickly to give RVN the best chance of success?

Depends how you paint the picture.

The win was against a West Ham side only one place (2pts) above us at the time, and at home, where we spent the majority of the match under pressure. Brighton was a decent point, granted.

Between Newcastle & Wolves we shipped 7 goals. 7 Goals in 2 games.

Add Last nigh in, that's 10 goals conceded in 3 games.

Fair enough if you can take the positives out of that but i think its horrendous and the league table would evidence that.

I think the idea is to probably go 3 at the back and have the fullbacks push forward to help get something.

But when the opposition peg you in it just becomes a back 5.

can't be because he takes off a CB and puts another on, if he was adding a CB it would make sense

We've let in 10 goals in 3 games.

We're not in a position to afford a new inexperienced manager time to bed in to a new a league and have a transfer window. We're in the relegation spots and worst form in the league. Nearly januray.

He was a terrible mistake from the board and on this form we wilp be cur adrift soon.

We need to appreciate that RVN came to us with this team ,this is not his team and I'm sure he will get the right players in once the January window opens  ,then we will see whst happens

I think Ruud will be a good manager but the fact his record is compared with Cooper’s is hideously unfair.

He spent that time creating no style of play and not playing our best players.

To my mind we have 6 PL quality players. Hermansen (injured), Ricardo (injured), Winks (recently back from injury), Ndidi (injured), Fatawu (injured), Vardy (injured).

Sometimes blaming injuries is a lazy excuse but when literally over 50% of the team is unavailable I don’t know how you can criticise the manager too much.

We have looked so much better last couple of games, we have a decent manager / coach just hope we can back him to rebuild with some clever recruitment and progression of our academy talents.

Man City are a shadow of the team they were but we outplayed them for large parts and could / should have got at least a point if not all 3.

This is not on the manager, this is on the dog muck recruitment or lack of buying decent defenders. That is pretty much a championship level defence, with little or no other viable options/alternatives. Shockingly poor.

The thing that concerns me is the back line. We look disorganised and are making basic mistakes. I'm not sure there is any leadership there.

We need to improve.

Tbf we signed a "leader" in Coady but doesn't appear to have any organisational ability

Full backs just aren’t good enough.

Addressing this alone in Jan will win points when you see the goals we've conceded

Defensively they’re all over the shop.

We need fullbacks that are comfortable on the ball at this level. Justin, Choudhury and Kristiansen aren’t at that level. We need to unearth some gems for sure in January.

No way we'd have played like that under Cooper, not least because he refused to play Bilal for some reason.

Ultimately, RVN inherited a squad with no identity that wasn't his own and he's yet to have a full strength squad to choose from.

There have been green shoots in the last couple of games in terms of performances, but this January transfer window is huge. We just have to hope that he has enough contacts at Old Trafford and in Dutch football to bring in some quality.

He could read Foxestalk and we’ve identified a load of players for him! lol
