Really starting to regret buying all those black cashmere roll neck jumpers.

We all thought we'd upgraded because of 4 inches of cotton.

We have to do something. This cant continue. We are down, so need to put the wheels in motion now to prepare for next season.

I don't expect us to announce a new manager until after the season is over, but we need to get Ruud out and let the rest of the staff focus man management, future planning and starting to get our future culture correct.

Losing, and not scoring, has become a habit and we need to address this, especially with the winnable games coming before the end of the season. Last relegation, Smith had us battling, scoring and getting points. We are doing neither, and its a dangerous trend to take into a Championship pre season, which comes along pretty quickly.

We need to weed out the current malaise, which has been caused by Ruuds complete incompetence, and focus our energies on the players who are going to be part of our plans in the Championship. So I would:

  • Put Ruud in some bullsh1t desk job role until the end of the season, if sacking is an issue.
  • Promote Brian Barry-Murphy and King until the end of the season.
  • Stop playing anyone who doesnt form part of next seasons plans. This means no more Soumare, Daka, Viktor, Hermansen, Wilf, Facundo, Vesty, Faes, Ayew to name a few.
  • Promote any academy player deemed 'ready' to the 1st team squad (Monga, Sammy, Evans etc ).
  • Task the senior players (Vardy, Winks, Coady and maybe Wilf if he is willing) with integrating and man managing the 'ready' academy players during this process.  Let Winks stay at Seagrave if he has to ;)
  • Set targets accordingly. Look for goals in tougher games, but points against Ipswich Wolves and Southampton. Fight for some pride.

If they would do the above, i'll be turning up to every home game and showing my support for the new look squad.

Starting the same team against Brighton is surely madness.

What have Brian Barry-Murphy and Andy King (not so much Kingy) done to deserve promotion? They are part of the problem.

Quote from Nick Mashiter...

"Multiple sources have told BBC Sport players have also questioned the intensity and quality of training and feel the squad have been resigned to their fate."

I think a clean sweep of all coaching staff is going to be the way forward.

King has little to no say i'd have thought, that was a publicity stunt. He'll stay at the club and be back with the Academy I'd have thought.

This would be until a new appointment is made when decisions on the coaching staff are aligned with the next manager. My approach has to be based on the assumption:

  • Brian Barry-Murphy and Andy King are currently operating under Ruuds approach and instructions.
  • King is new to the job and still learning. Brian Barry-Murphy seems to be highly regarded.
  • The targets shift from what ever Ruud has been trying to do (guesses please?) to next season planning, player integration etc. They would be judged on the success of that, not whatever Ruud has left behind.

OGS wouldn't have been a bad shout. I said so at the time.

He's a trained, professional manager. He's done some miles and is battle hardened.

And, it would've kept the cuckold Top satisfied.

Don't think the manager matters that much when the squad is inadequate for the Prem. The enormity of the rebuild required at the club, on and off the field, means that there are fundamental decisions that need to be made, and they need to be right. It beggars belief that the board can recognise that there were errors made last time we were in this league, carry out a root and branch investigation, and then actually be significantly worse. In any other business there would be repercussions and sweeping changes.

I disagree, I think having the worse manager in premier league history does matter,

As kieran maguire says anyone who has a women's team on the books and is close to psr should be selling

Was it the yank owners that waved this through. Soon they’ll have 14 owners and they vote what they want through. But, apparently it’s those wicked Arab people that are the problem.

I think Ruud goes the moment our relegation is confirmed.  My bet is that there's a clause in his contract that we don't have to pay half as much compo if he can't keep us up.

Ideal scenario:

Our relegation gets confirmed very soon, so we rightly sack Ruud cos he is shit.

We somehow managed to accrue more points than Ipswich and finish 18th.

Man City are found guilty on all counts and are given a 500 point rolling reduction and immediate relegation.

We stay up as a result.

I think he's here next season either way no? I don't think you can sign a professional contract until you are 17?

The incompetence of Top and Rudkin that took leftovers Burnley in the league below deemed wasn’t good enough for the job, thought it was some masterstroke. One team on the up one team setting new disappointing records week after week. They all need to leave

So which is the ideal scenario?

If there's a chance that Manchester City get a massive points deduction, how can our relegation be confirmed very soon?

I think once we sell a few players, he will be paid off

Dont see how that works?

We can't sell until the transfer window opens. So if he has a clause which means he gets no payout if we are relegated then they can do it as soon as that is mathematically confirmed. If we have to pay him no matter what, then they will just do it in the next accounting period.

McAteer will go when we get anything above that measley £10 million offer from Jan. His stock has soared since then 🔥

if he had any any respect for the club and himself he'd go

This is what I assumed, but looks like the £££ are the priority, because staying is harming his chances of a new job the longer it goes on for.

When your manager refers to himself as a guest to the club, has the worst losing streak, not scoring and still conceding goals and the club don't sack him after, then you know something is wrong. Whether thats money reasons or not, it comes down to board incompetence.

Sack the footballing side, start again. Bring in some fresh ideas, a new direction. Modernise. But I feel there is a wet blanket that doesn't want to. I have a feeling the club will go up for sale at the end of the season.

I expect a statement when we are officially relegated to acknowledge the absolute screw up that is this season. Then I expect real action. Not an internal review that keeps everyone in job and the same mistakes happen.

We are poo. Its diarrhea on the pitch, empty farts above
