I don't think I've witnessed such a blatant attempt from a manager to get the sack, it's frankly disgraceful.

He talks about shaping the future of this club and  continues to play the same old players who do not have a future. At this point I'm now thinking we should get a legal team in and threaten to sue the guy for purposefully trying to get the sack.

I'm so pissed off at him. He was about 95% sure to get almost a free pass from me given how little I think of those above him and he's somehow managed to be that bad that it's enough to take some of the heat off them.

That being said we shouldn't forget that this was Aiyawatt, and specifically Aiyawatt's choice.

Statistically it's pretty difficult for anyone to be worse.

He has the worst run of top flight home games of any manager, ever.

Sack the twat.

The board are useless but keeping this twat on cannot be an option.

Won’t even play the academy players when we’re down? Just don’t understand it at all. Monga and Evans should be starting now, if you want to play for pride, you play the kids.

His being so reluctant to make changes and bring in the youth / move out the likes of Faes who will be going / makes me wonder if RVN is trying to force the Club’s hand into sacking him before the seasons end.

I've said before and will say again that this needn't be an impediment to getting him out ASAP. Stick him on gardening leave and get a pre-contract agreement in place with his replacement. RVN out and the new guy in on July 1st.

Sounds too sensible for us, I don't think it will happen.

He's desperate to try and get some results isn't he, he's not going to be here next season so he isn't arsed about long term planning.

Mexican standoff between the manager and Board.

Will RVN fall on his sword / walk away from a payoff because of his pitiful record - not likely.

At the minute we are witnessing a slow motion car crash - and I don’t see any chance RVN can turn around the squad / fans for next season. Expecting the Board to be brave is probably pointless, we drift on and on.

Get him gone.

I went to the game yesterday and I can’t believe how normal it’s become to see that type of performance - we’ve fallen so far below the standards we set in recent years and this manager is the icing on that cake

If he were trying to get results he wouldn't have picked the players he did yesterday.

Board are doing the same tactics when Rodgers was at his tether and had checked out, just sack him, but no they will dither and we have to endure more shit show performances week in and week out.

Gardening leave must be the solution, the guy can’t be well if he thinks he’s doing a competent job. Take him out of the firing line, let Kingy pick the side and set up, be looking now for the next manager and confirm departure in the next financial period if that’s the issue.

Exactly. Put him on gardening leave, pay his wages until he finds another Club if need be, recognise any pay off in a future financial period.

We cannot afford the usual dither and delay and waiting until deep in the close season to make a decision.

What a football club. That’s the second manager in two years actively trying to get sacked and goading the club to do so in the press.

Plus Enzo who took some persuading not to resign, prior to Chelsea coming in.

Why would you go to that game and expect anything different?

This is assuming the club think RVN is at fault, maybe the club accepts they haven't backed him, and the players are a major part of the problem, and even though they may see a better appointment for the future in the championship, they'd rather let him finish the season, because maybe Kingy doesn't want to take charge of this rabble at the start of his coaching career.

Only been supporting us for a couple of years then? I give you Brendan Rodgers.
