The last few games are moot, so sacking now doesn't make huge sense. Would be a catharsis for the fans but in truth you'd just end up with someone under qualified limping their way through the games (look how the Southampton fans rated the substitutions at the weekend). We'll part ways at the end of the season.

In fairness he admitted his mistake pretty quickly on Cooper. It won't be about admitting mistakes now, it'll be purely financial.

Not sure anyone could think hiring Ruud was anything other than a mistake!

Didn't he supposedly have a right go at the players after sacking Cooper? I doubt he really wanted to do it.

Definitely going to end up staying isn’t he?

ffs

We have to be one of the only clubs where multiple people can be genuinely horrendous at their jobs and they still get to stay

Not just at management/boardroom level either.

See extended contracts for Ward, Vestergaard, etc.

Will be calamitous for next season if we keep RvN.

We were a Premier League club when we hired him. We took a chance on a young manager, the unproven manager certainly didn't take a chance on us.

With our ffp issue at the time I think it was a gamble. This is the reason no one half decent went for the job.

I do get your point of view there to be fair. Although to counter that, he gave no impression he was aware of the issue when joining and I still think on balance. Joining a Premier League team as a novice much of a gamble. Especially when it seems he was courted by Top.

Amazing what a win over the joint worst prem team ever has done to some of you. If Danny Ward managed to stop a mishit, slow moving shot that was heading straight at him you wouldn't decide to offer him a new contract! He is statistically our worst ever manager, has absolutely no rapport with the fans and has shown literally nothing to suggest hel get any better. He's recognised a few of our waster players are twats. Wow. Hardly makes him Clough reborn.

No, but I listened to him on Radio Leicester instead.

I pasted it on here. He wasn’t saying he is staying, more questioning the logic behind him still being here whilst Southampton pulled the trigger on their second manager, and going through Tops latest match day notes

If they were going to sack him, why would they be waiting so long?

Maybe waiting until a certain date means a lower payout?

Those are published losses, not the final PSR calculation losses accounting for add-backs etc

I think those figure won't be far off, and I'm betting we decided in January that as we're likly to go down, we'd pull out all the stops to comply, and to do that i reckon we'd have needed to at least break even or made a small profit, that would be possible if we sold Mads in this seasons figures, perhaps then the EFL would leave us be

Seems to me that RVN isn't totally in or totally out, his demeanor seems to be 'alright I'll give a go next season and see what happens'.

He attitude is only like that because by all accounts it's seems Top and Rudkin aren't bothered if he stays or goes.

he has been moaning that he doesn't know where he stands, he should just accept if he wants the job that he's in a rehearsal, and he just needs to get on with it, and get some results

They ought to start paying for their own bloody tickets. They'd be bothered then.

He know exactly where he stands. Has a contract which spells out duration and t&c's. He's expecting to be sacked due to his woeful record, just doesn't know when, but likely to be after the clubs year end.

How much of a joke does that make this board?

For this? Not so much.

For getting us here? Fringe Festival levels.

No idea how it works, but couldn’t they put him on gardening leave and then pull the trigger when in the next accountancy period if they need the payments to hit at a certain time?

If they had any sense (which they clearly don’t) I’m sure most fans would happily see Kingy have it as care taker to the end of the season - a bit of a PR exercise to get fans on side a bit.

This place Friday night in August and RVN is still here 18hrs before the first KO 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆 🤣 😂

I'm not going back over loads of pages, but are there genuinely people on here that think he should stay? If so that's absolutely wild! He's the worst manager we've ever had and regardless of whether he's been lied to over transfers etc, he's been absolutely woeful. Nobody expected miracles with the squad we had, but to be relegated with 5 games left and to have only won 3 of his games in charge is appalling. Fully expected us to be relegated but would have preferred it be with a fight rather than a whimper!

Nothing would surprise me with the idiots running this club. Top might keep him out of spite because a few fans have said nasty things about him!

I don't rate RvN, and I hope he's off once the season is done (he's clearly not going before is he?) but it says it all that no-one has even bothered to engage in dialogue with him and let him know where he stands.

Is that cowardice or just total incompetence? Or a bit of both?

He might be a shocking manager, but he's been employed to do a job. At least talk to the guy. Absolute clowns 🤡
