We know how shit Top is at decision making….. Ruud gets a couple of good results and I genuinely think that could be enough to convince Top to let him have a go….. I mean, we recruited him because he beat us twice in a row…….

Indeed, win tomorrow against the odds then beat Ipswich to potentially finish ahead of them on the final day then it could all point towards Top being falsely convinced to keep Ruud on for next season.....

Or Ruud earns the extra £3m in prize money to cover his pay off 😂😂

There's always hope, lol!

It’s still hilarious that people think these morons sack Rudd and actually manage to bring in someone who is not even competent at managing in the Championship after they **** around for 2 months, lose out on the good options end up with some 3rd rate, 3rd choice like Manning on a 4 year deal who we need to sack when we are bottom come Christmas

I agree largely with you bud

however I disagree re the walking out bit, he is hardly on the breadline so the money won't matter to him as much as it would a Joe bloggs in life

rinsing LCFC however much they deserve it won't help the club in the long run

It won't help us at all but like all contractual agreements he has a right to what he's owed whether we like it or not and, whether wealthy or not, nobody in their right mind is going to turn down a pay day of potentially millions of pounds. He has no loyalty to us, why should he, it's just a job. Top needs to learn firstly in his choices and secondly with regards to his contract agreements. You think he'd not be dumb in that respect after Rodgers ripped him!

It begs the question as you allude to - why the hell are we STILL giving out contracts without clauses for getting relegated for example - pathetic beyond belief

Because the club is being ran by imbeciles. Until they go we may as well stick with Rudd as Rudkin is unlikely to bring in anyone better.

If they were to appoint Wayne Rooney or Stevie G then yes Id agree with you, anyone else is likely an upgrade on RVN his track record thus far is breaking records, for all the wrong reasons.

The club are highly likely to employ someone like you mention, they aren’t competent. He’s breaking records because he’s been given a terrible hand, no backroom staff, no player, little strategy. All issues the new person struggles with. If we continue this obsession with tippy tappy we are likely to bring in Martin, who built a team so bad even Rudd could beat it!

I dont know if I'm just mad but I can see really good patterns of play just lately. I'm not saying he most certainly should be our manager next season but if he had his own players I think a RVN team would actually be decent

They’re very basic patterns of play that any team at this level should be doing. It’s damning that were only seeing them now

You are mad. We were horrible today - no running, no closing down, barely strung any passes together.

Buonanotte, who Ruud doesn’t rate enough to start, made the difference because we had nothing to offer until he came on.

100% Ruud is staying for next season.

I think so too.

They probably think there's nothing to lose giving him the start of the season and seeing where we're at.
