I think the board are really incapable of doing anything, they'll take the easy option and want to carry on as before as they can't seem to recruit anybody who particularly good or try to even sell any of our players. They seem to have gone into hiding and will do nothing in the summer and hope our deadwood will get us promoted next season

The number one question any manager needs to be asked before appointed is:

 

Are you, at any point, going to start a football match next season with any of Reid, Ayew, Soumare, Faes, Coady, Vestergaard, Soumare, Kristiansen playing?

 

If so they cannot be allowed the job.

I've said before and will say again that this needn't be an impediment to getting him out ASAP. Stick him on gardening leave and get a pre-contract agreement in place with his replacement. RVN out and the new guy in on July 1st.
