It’s probably the best blend of attributes needed on the pitch to have a chance of results in games.

If Salah plays he’ll be hopeful of beating both the RVN and Vardy consecutive goals record, but in one match.

He can't do it didn't score tother week before spurs game against Brentford home

Imagine how many of those comments are written by sad plastics with no connection to the city of Liverpool. You would think any fan of theirs would realise the irony of stereotyping other teams fans and the place they live but obviously not.

Our fans aren't particularly hateful and they're no more anti poverty than they are homophobic or hate Welsh people. They're mostly just completely unoriginal and copy whatever chant is associated with any club.

They only sing the feed the scousers song because everyone else sings it.

That said, being offended by the feed the scousers song and taking it seriously enough to claim that it's hateful anti poverty is ****ing weird and pathetic in the extreme. It's typical LFC looking to be offended nonsense.

Especially moronic when you consider the city of Leicester has some significantly poor areas and large swathes of Liverpool are probably significantly more gentrified than here.

Making us out to be like an English Lazio or some nonsense is just counterfactual. We're a pretty ordinary bunch. We have everything from knuckle-dragging gammons through to tedious lefties. The same fans singing Feed the Scousers will be bringing down bags of groceries to donate to the UFS food bank drive or buying scarves to give to homeless people.

The songs cannot be any different to what they hear every week in December. Man United fans used to racially abuse one of their own players to squeeze in a dig about Scousers eating rats in their council house for starters.

Our fans will just find something to wind the opposition up. It is usually unoriginal or dull but it usually isn't political, social, economical or anything like that. We are a politically split fanbase from a variety of areas.

There is genuinely nothing sinister or deeper about any of it.

Liverpool fans are like the MAGA of football though aren't they. All they consume is media that tells them they're special but the world is against them and everything has some sinister narrative.

The most narcissistic fanbase in English football.

I just hope we at least look competitive. Too many games this season players have been going through the motions because they know they aren’t good enough. They need to give us something to cling onto. We will obviously lose but some kind of performance is needed. We are shit but not as shit at this. These players have had it easy so far in terms of criticism, it’ll ramp up if we see another wolves, Newcastle, Brentford, united type performance.

Game day....yay :surrender:

It's not a question of are we going to get something, it's more of a question of how heavy the defeat will be.

Only hope is that after half time, they just don't bother and save energy.

My worst scenario is seeing Liverpool being 3 or 4 goals up at halftime and bringing on Trey Nyoni to score a 2nd half hattrick to really rub it in.

Not looking forward to this game at all.  I will be "obliged" to watch it in the company of my Liverpool-supporting, and obviously gloating, son-in-law and 2 grandsons. What an end to my Christmas :(
