Up until the interview I wasn't entirely KP out but more "get the house in order". It's clear we are somewhere near the bottom of the list of concerns.

That's not great but I could kind of understand that he, naively, assumed the UK-based team would keep everything running and there would be a minimum floor of mid table championship to fall to. It's not good but it's still an asset that mostly manages itself.

However, to see the attitude and blinkered approach laid bare suggests that he just isn't fit for the job. He is unable to make decisions of this nature and I can imagine KP SLT in Thailand will also be looking to manage him.

No idea how Thai businesses work, mind. They could all be yes men who kowtow to him because he's the son.

i think i'd take exception to the club being rotten to the core, while the culture has been lost, this does stem from the loss of the figure head and father of the family.

Top is a young man that was born into extreme wealth, and by no fault of his own has led a very easy life.

his dad made the mistakes in business learnt the lessons, and was able to use them to build a multi billion dollar business.

i do wonder if some forget that the loss him and his family went through, in one of the most horrific ways.

not only has the young man, through no fault of his own, had to learn the hard lessons of running a football club, and a business, without the knowledge and security of his dad, but he's also had to grieve, very publicly at times too.

now i agree with the point that i think he needs to sell the club. it needs new direction, and new leadership, ideally from someone that has the experience to do so.

and yes, he's made some bad decisions, but none of them have been malicious! he's learning in one of the hardest environments, and sadly he's not getting much right

and yet despite all of this, we are still only 6 points off the play offs

I’m sorry, but after that interview, anyone who offers this bloke a shred of room to breathe is deluded.

Yes, what happened to Vichai is an absolute tragedy, I can’t put myself in his shoes and understand how he feels.

But, this isn’t an excuse for what’s happening here. Top should have recognised quickly, that he isn’t capable of running this club and address it, by either selling a majority steak, or the club all together.

All he is doing is further destroying all of the hard work his dad put in, for which I am sure he would be devastated to see.

And, being only 6 points off the playoffs isn’t a positive thing, it’s just a reflection of how poor this league is, none bar 6 teams are striking any kind of consistency.

And it’s irrelevant, because we’re more likely to get relegated than promoted.

Just think if Aiyawatt sold us after we won the FA Cup. That was his time to sell. He would have bowed out on a high, delivered a trophy his dad always wanted and his stock with us would have been pretty high.

Mad to think that was 5 years ago.

Nobody can read that article and think he is in his right mind.

He’s deluded & he can’t possibly imagine breaking up the boys club that he’s created with Rudkin.

As long as they’re involved with the decision making at the club we’re only going one way - and judging by that article, neither of them are going anywhere any time soon.

mercury interview - generic really.

They've acknowledged Rudkin has too much to do, and sounds like we have a person in mind for the role.

Insane.

The mark of someone who is deluded, shows no accountability or responsibility, for anything.

All it takes is to have some humility. Literally just say 'we made some bad decisions and that's on me and my team. We got us into the mess and I will strive to get us out. We need big changes etc etc...'.

Not 'i don't know how it happened...'

Any questions on the stadium expansion plans?

No direct quotes, but Tanner's article says they are on hold, but will be revisited if we get back to the Premier League.

I was broadly neutral when it came to relegation. Indeed a good run ( ok I know) even with a points deduction could see LCFC pull away . However more  likely is that points deduction coupled with a bad run could see relegation a real possibility.

Now however having listened to that interview the feeling that the club is in free-fall is beyond doubt but the biggest thing for me is two fold the chaos and the denial. The club are rudderless and

For instance the comment that it’s all down to relegation that there was a charge but we know that the  22/23 PL season should have resulted in a charge let’s not forget that season incorporated seasons of PL football and income.

I am now 70-30 thinking a relegation will be the result of the 25/26 season .

This is incredulous stuff. I can't believe he believes this.
