Wed be pretty stupid to tell them what our defense would be outside of a official hearing.

You'd think so, but a lot of it will be discussed prior to any hearing. That's the way the legal system works here in the UK and presumably elsewhere; especially with these huge organisations.

not rocket science what our main defence will be if we’ve breached 83m

also not rocket science that the PL’s rules as written are not fit for purpose on this T-1, T-2

it’s in both parties interest for this not to come to charge

lots of cases are discussed as described above without comign to a charge

Further to all of this a "season" is defined as:

So I'd argue we can say that:

  • £22m reduction only applies to T-1 and T-2, not T
  • We were not a PL team by the time the accounting period for T-1 ended - hence our successful appeal
  • But that doesn't mean the PL can reduce our allowable losses for T-1 by £22m, because during the season of T-1 we were a PL team

100% as the PL have found it the textural meaning of the rules not the spirit.

Is it today or tomorrow that we find out?

Originally the news stories said today but today it's saying tomorrow.

Maybe later the whispers might begin to appear. The club will know by now that’s for sure.

I'm surprised there hasn't been already. The decisions would have been made, so someone will know and the club will know.

No news is good news?

That said, there doesn't seem to be coverage specifically relating to any club right now.

This was published by a law firm last May. Apparently the PL has provided very little guidance for the independent panels to work from, making it very difficult to predict the level of deduction any team might have for a certain level of breach. However, at a basic level it seems that if you breach, the starting point is a three point deduction. After that, aggravating and mitigating factors can be considered which may increase or reduce the deduction. You'd assume that a large breach is one of the aggravating factors considered, while a very small breach might be a mitigating factor. I'm just guessing though...

Proves really that the PL were not interested in any of this until the threat of the regulator came in and now still aren't trying to nail down punishments etc. The fact that hotel sales, car park sales, teenagers going for £15 million after a few games shows how ridiculous it all is.

I think financial control is important but it is basically a lottery as to what is and isn't allowed, plus the timing of the financial year v end of the season. If we have breached we deserve a punishment but the whole thing needs overhauling. Even Kieran Maguire did not seem impressed with the overall situation of the regulations.

We've already proven that the rules are a pile of frozen dog mess from a week a go.

The fact none of the big clubs have been charged and it seems there is no consistency to the rules or the punishment to me shows how thick the whole process is. What are punishments judged on? It's not points per breached amount. It's decided by an independent panel that has ruled against the premier league. If your face don't fit, you get punished more.

So many holes in a rules, they might as well scrap it. I'm all for control on spending etc...but it's not a level playing field.

Also, the bizarre thing is, it’s all about how you dress the accounts up in reality.

I get the need for financial control; however you can cook the books to show anything you want within reason.

Le Fee to Sunderland on loan with an obligation to buy. Good coup for Sunderland. Baffling we couldn’t/didn’t look at a deal and add some creativity! Be interested to know the fee (pun intended!) as Roma brought him for £19m. Depressing when sides in the division below are showing more imagination and ambition than we are!

By whom?

SSN they say ‘clubs’ either they know it’s more than one, or it’s just a matter of fact, tomorrow is the date for clubs to get charged - might be us, might be no one.
