The gap is so vast now. No team  that gets promoted is strong enough to compete.  PSR means you can't spend enough to compete. But no established club will vote against it.

PSR is the safety net for established clubs. Busting our spending ment we had to sell so automatically weaker on return. Any club promoted will fall straight back down.

PSR is a restraint on business practices and sooner or later a club will take it to the courts and win. Football is no longer competitive with these rules in place.

This.   Top post.

Being handed out at the Villa game, I don't care what people's politics are, well perhaps I do if they're extreme but let's not bring it into the football

Bet they weren't handed out. More likely stuck on the back of a bog door.

Sadly yes, had a great game today as well

Vest headed straight to Barkley in space on edge of area for him to shoot and score, he's got to do much better there. The mistake was almost as bad as JJs.

Which is what happened, apparently.

Still worrying there are saddoes like this among our fanbase though. 😟

Keep scum like this out of football ...out of everything preferably, but out of the "peoples game" at least.

Ruud said pretty much the same. Full interviews for both are below:

I had some scum bag behind me in the queue at half time shouting ‘we want our country back’. More alarmingly he had his 2 young sons with him as well. Absolute cretin.

Lol. That makes no difference whatsoever to my point.

You employ a driver with the single condition "dont crash the car" and he doesn't but drives poorly so you sack him thinking sooner or later he will.

You employ a new guy, same condition he drives ok but eventually crashes the car.

Does that make him better or worse than the first guy?

He can't be better because although he drove ok, he crashed and the first guy didn't, the fact he drove for longer is irrelevant!

Those who like the second guy now blame the car saying "well what do you expect its a crap car".

Same car as the first guy had but they didn't like him and anyway the roads were less bendy for him!

The fact is neither driver is any good and the cars owner inherited the car from his dad, doesn't understand it, employs idiots to service it and anyway he'd rather be off playing with his horse!

He's had tougher fixtures and lost 3 players and no transfer window to try and correct the awful summer.

I don't understand how you don't understand the scenarios are not comparable.

He’s not strictly incorrect. The game plan was working, as per usual we were the makers of our own downfall. It wasn’t pretty, but we’re desperate, and we were heading for a decent point. But, as per usual, a **** up cost us again.

Absolutely shocking, only one urn in the away upper. Had a warm Bovril as a result, no beer (but there was in the lower). Old cowshed of a stand, better when the away fans were behind the goal.

Makes me smile, had we had that back 4 and the midfield 2 in front of them going into a game in the championship last season we would have been nervous, let alone going into a Premier League game away to a champions league team, just continues to reiterate how poor our recruitment and squad management has been.

Politics is constantly in football though?

I thought we put in a good away performance to a Champions League team for about 60 minutes before we just sat off them and waited to get beat.
