You seen how many still stand and clap that montage before each home game. It's been 9 years and still goes on.

Are we meant to just sit there in the stand and watch it instead?

We criticised Forest for banging on about the league title and European cups etc. I think it is holding us back like a big weight around our shoulders. It’s almost saying “look what we did and you will never get anywhere close to it” but to our own players.

Saw a post on here the other week that stuck with me. If the day Vichai died the ownership of the club transferred to Organisation A, we would put the FA Cup win as a by product of the previous KP regime and the demise on Organisation A. If Top was no way connected to Vichai he would be getting absolute pelters.

Yeah. Amount of away games I go to where the home team will play video of success, whether it be Forest, Leeds, etc, yet their fans don’t need to applaud it.

Interesting.

I think it's important to give a nod to our history (there's loads of memorable moments played out) but perhaps they could be incorporated more around the ground as opposed to a montage.

Slightly different this one though I think...its arguably  greatest story in team sports history?

After watching 40 + years of mediocrity.

I take great pleasure in acknowledging the recent years of success against all odds.

Perhaps we are drifting back to the mediocre days, but let's celebrate FFs'

We will only come round this way once!!

So how long after winning things are you not allowed to enjoy that now?

It’s been mentioned before about the montage and it makes the match day incredibly de ja vu, the same montage is played continuously at the same time, same sh1t music when the players train at deafening decibels, poem. Totally agree it’s getting so samey samey. They should think about making some other reels, highlights of the previous game, altering the montage so it’s different every game etc. I doubt it even takes that long. I’ve always arrived quite early but won’t be too fussed soon if I arrive 10 minutes before..

If Vichai was still alive we would have seen a similar decline. We were still:

1. Giving ridiculous contracts to mediocre players.

2. Overpaying on transfer fees, ie. Ghezzal, Ward were signed under Vichai.

3. Cocking up transfer windows ie. The window after the title win, failing to register Adrien Silva.

4. Getting rid of key staff members brought in under Pearson ie. Sports psychologist

I feel sorry for Top because our decline is blamed solely on him but it was actually longstanding issues that we had before his Dad's passing that have caused the mess we are in now. They just came home to roost soon after he took over.

Would Vichai have gotten rid of Rudkin by now? Probably. Was he as great an owner as he was made out to be? No, we had our success under KingPower but the underlying mismanagement always meant that it was unsustainable.

It seems pretty sad to showing a montage of previous success on a fortnightly basis, never mind people clapping it.

I hope I've misunderstood what people are saying here lol

Is there another club in English Football that lives in the past as much as us at present and on top of that lets it distort everything that goes on today?

Its like a weird hold on a section of the fanbase

- Can’t Criticise the Owners because they won us the league

-Can’t criticise Vardy (Not that he deserves much) because he won the league

-Can’t criticise Rudkin because he was employed by the club when we won the league

- Can’t criticise the players when we get relegated and applaud them off because we won the league in 2016

- Can’t criticise the fact the ground is a complete tip with awful facilities because KP won us the league

Could go on and on, it’s like wining the league 9 years ago has given the club some weird immunity from criticism

This board is literally full of people criticising everything you've written about.

This post is like that massive twat who bought twitter and cries about free speech being eradicated.

I am so disillusioned by the club but at the same I love the montage and always clap the lifting of both trophies as these were things I never dreamed of seeing in my lifetime, and given they were such amazing achievements they should never be forgotten but at the same time that shouldn’t also mean certain individuals are beyond scrutiny or given a free pass for more recent failings.

Like some sort of a banner around the roofline? Good call.

Bring it back.

Different kind of living in the past.

The likes of Notts Forest and Leeds bore everyone with what they won back when tv was in black and white and man landed on the moon for the first time. They refuse to believe their place in the current football world.

We just seem the opposite that the club and fans have an inferiority complex and think we should be back in the lower reaches of the Championship or god forbid, League 1 and this exempts the club from criticism whilst it is being run into the ground.

I quite like the montage. Not sure what you mean about a poem though, are we talking about the kasabian track?

No where some random bloke is on the screen talking about the past which rhymes..
