Perhaps, all the talk of Buonanotte going back to Brighton now, could be true - and Moder coming to us, is part of the deal. We have to agree to Facundo being recalled - this could be the sweetener. £9m is pretty good for Moder.

Can always rely on someone on FT to somehow turn losing Facu into getting some nobody in return...at a cost no less.

We don't need him and we've got other priorities. Nothing in this.

So you're pretty sure we're getting him then?

Not the same player since his injury, out of contract in the summer…yeah let’s use money we don’t have and add to our growing quota of unproductive bench fodder.

If Buanonotte is going back, as part of a deal to get someone in, I would prefer it to be a defender. I think they have a couple of full backs who they might be willing to let go. Lamptey is one (though I can't believe they'd sell him cheap, or loan him), but there was another young guy being talked about on here a month or so ago (I can't find the links now?).

It was Valentin Barco (another Argentinian), but he's on a season long loan at Seville and so anything involving him now, will need a whole lot of recall business. I can't see that happening. And he's a left back, that side of the park, is a far less essential position for us - we desperately need a right back.

I agree Lamptey would be great, but that is very unlikely.

So this could potentially  be the second signing of a player who can’t get a game at Brighton getting regular games with us.

the first has been class of course, but it shows how much we have fallen..

Dutch under 21 cm, clubs queuing up for him, we own him at our sister club. 13m no thank you!

Unwanted premier league squad player from another team, injury prone, lose our best player in the process, 4m less? Absolute no brainer!

The marvel of this transfer section is you log in and think 'well at least it hit rock bottom yesterday with the busiest thread being some tenuous sale links to Hamza' and fvck me if it doesn't surprise you by being even worse.

“I was close to Leicester City” – Player reveals he wanted to leave Brighton for Foxes
By Naveen Ullal - 19th March 2025

Jakub Moder claims Leicester City wanted him last summer when he was still at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Poland international left the Seagulls for Feyenoord in the winter market in search of regular game time that he didn’t enjoy at Brighton.

Moder had a chat with Foot Truck, where he revealed that Leicester showed interest in him last summer, and Meczyki.pl have relayed his comments.

The midfielder suffered a serious knee injury in April 2022 and was out of action for more than 570 days. He wasn’t able to feature regularly at Brighton under Roberto De Zerbi and was keen on leaving them for Leicester City.

Moder has revealed he was close to joining the Foxes, but the operation didn’t go through for multiple reasons.

“I wanted to leave Brighton earlier. Last summer, I was very close to Leicester City, but many things happened that the transfer didn’t work out, the transfer domino had to go, and I also had an injury,” he said.

“So, I wanted to leave in the summer, because I had a feeling what role awaited me at Brighton in the next six months. I would probably be at Leicester now, but would it be better? We don’t know. Now I’m at Feyenoord and it’s great.”

Moder played nine minutes from four Premier League games under Fabian Hürzeler at Brighton. This didn’t stop the 25-year-old from attracting interest from Udinese and VfB Stuttgart before picking Feyenoord in January.

The Pole now claims he held talks with Udinese manager Kosta Runjaić and his assistant, Przemyslaw Malecki. He ended up moving to the Eredivisie club and claims it was the best choice for him.

“I considered Udinese. I spoke with Runjaić and Małecki. I was at a point in my career where I couldn’t close myself off to such a move,” Moder explained.

“This is a club from Serie A, they are playing very good football this season, so I was definitely considering it. Ultimately, however, the Feyenoord project was the best for me. I was very excited that they wanted me. It was the best decision.”
