i hope Talksport get Maguire back on now and get him to explain how he is going to keep himself relevant for the next 12 months.

He and all the others need to criticised harshly for all the bs they put out.

They do not know clubs finances until they are published, and they do not fully understand all the complexities of the PSR rules, at least not to the extent of Nick et al.

Except we need to be notified within 14 days of submitting accounts. It's 14 days, if they don't say today they can't trump up a charge down the line.

precisely. The verdict for the period up to 22/23 is not material to whether we've breached in the period up to 23/24. At most it would impact the points deduction (Everton's second was lower last season). The only bit of PSR hanging over our heads is whether the verdict back in September (that the PL did not have jurisdiction) was wrong, which is the subject of an ongoing appeal by the PL.

Those thinking we will now be able to freely sign players for as much as we like are in for a rude awakening. We'll have got away with this by the skin of our teeth.

We're still paying players like Ward, Vestergaard, Coady, Daka, Soumare, and Choudhury over £50k a week.

Outside of Mads and potentially Bilal, we won't have the luxury of selling high end players to pay for these wages this summer either.

Although it'll be horrible to see him go, it'll definitely be welcome to have Vardy's wages off the books.

They've appealed our appeal? I thought the general consensus was that they'd be wasting their time doing that.

that is the consensus, doesn't mean they wouldn't bother to. The appeal of that is the jurisdiction case mentioned in the Ziegler tweet

But have they appealed or is it a case that they might appeal?

So when we keep making these catastrophic losses every year does that mean we are hundreds of millions in debt?

How is this a sustainable business model?

I’m not clued up on football finances at all so sorry if it’s a daft question but how are clubs losing so much money every year and still surviving? Does it get written off by owners or something?

It is just more people trying to use social media to make a name for themselves.

It has worked up until now but they they just look daft. Maguire is a uni lecturer too, imagine his students are really impressed with him looking like a prat in the national press.

The Premier League said in a statement: “Issues as to the jurisdiction of the Premier League over Leicester City Football Club in relation to PSR compliance are currently the subject of confidential arbitration proceedings.

“Accordingly, neither the league nor the club will make any further comment at this stage about any aspect of the club’s compliance or otherwise with any of the PSR or related rules, save to say that no complaint has been brought against Leicester by the league for any breach of the PSRs for the period ending Season 2023-24.

It is an ongoing arbitration proceeding, they have appealed the decision around jurisdiction.

So 23/24 is resolved? They’re not looking to resolve 22/23 and then come after us for 23/34?

they're looking to resolve 22/23, but 23/24 we're not in breach for

Haha, probably should've added a () to my post. TBF, had no idea where it came from - just that someone shared it on here. Only teasing!

Well now we really CAN solely lay any blame for relegation at the club hierarchy's feet.

You have no excuses. Pull your finger out.

Anyone thinking it means that needs their heads looking at. We need to keep level until all those horrendous years are off the books in terms of PSR. We basically start all over again now don't we.

This summer has to be the restart. Especially if we go down. There needs to be a complete reset of wage structure.

Get back to focussing on spending transfer fees on young players with potential sprinkled amongst experienced players with a point to prove.

Huge PR nightmare if they appeal an appeal against highly respected group of independent panelist consisting of barristers, solicitors etc. i dont think they want or can take anymore negative media surrounding them so as long as they keep to the sound bite of they “might appeal” or still “under investigation” and be that until they legally cant.

thats my take

So it's said NO club will be charged

Makes me think Man City are going to get off with their charges and the prem are backtracking, knowing that every club will kick off about it

Goes to show what a complete shambles this league is, I can't stand it

The sooner the "super league" is created the better

But their charges aren’t related to PSR, its obtaining money by deceit, well the one that’s going to land them in the most trouble
