Bristol City look decent, and Sheff Utd look crap

that is all

Bristol have punished Sheff United for poor defending. They’ve taken the wind out of their sales. Is it a 1-4 game? Probably not, but credit Bristol for being ruthless. They’ve got a clear way of playing and will catch a lot of teams out playing like that. Do I think they are amazing? No, like you say, decent is an apt description for them.

I know we get a lot wrong as a club but it’s looking like we got it spot on selling Cannon  for 10m. 1 goal in 16 games since joining Sheffield Utd.

Can I ask htf we bought him in the first place ??

Watching Norwich as some have them "Dark horses".

Another side with no athleticism, struggling against a bunch of Milwall plodders. These Milwall plodders, judging by their line up, are practically the same bunch as when we were last in this league and somehow challenged for Play offs last Season.

We're another striker option away from having a considerably better squad than when we were last at this level. Sides aren't going to be able to cope with our athleticism. Soumare's gonna look like Vieira.

For the 25 minutes he try’s… he will be class but the rest of the time, he will be giving the ball away, napping and watching his man ghost into the box to score a tap in

the better comparison is pogba, looks class and is hard to drop because of it but always makes your team worse off because he’s in it

Just say you don't actually understand xG and be done with it. It's a measure of the quality of chances you're creating. Top quality strikers will outperform their xG, dogshit will underperform it due to the whole nature of strikers, but it's a chance creation metric and intended to be used as such. Use it to evaluate trends, like are the quality of chances you're creating going down?

I understand it, it’s just horse ****.

We got it wrong trying to hold out for £10mil. Thankfully Sheffield United are plonkers but they could have easily walked away and we would be stuck with him.

How much would Scott twine cost

First good game he’s had for them in a long long long time. Trust me.

We missed out on an actual Championship quality striker in Piroe and panicked

I remember folks - myself included - trying to convince ourselves we'd made the better signing at the time, too. Insane luck to have found a club daft enough to take him for more than we paid.

I'm happy they're in the same league as Leicester as it gives me a genuine excuse to dislike them when challenged by 40 something men with a crush on Ryan Reynolds

Best comment I've read all week!

I mean, I should probably reserve judgement until I see us tomorrow, but from the games so far, I'd imagine 90% of the Tai population are already booking their flights to be on the pitch for our trophy lift....again..

There's always one freak-ish result on the first day of the season. I didn't expect it to be at Bramall Lane!

Pretty standard fare in the other games. Millwall beating Norwich away perhaps a bit of a surprise.

We had fans on here gutted we had lost him 😂 he’s absolutely wank!

As someone who is objectively never wrong and definitely doesn't change his tune to save face... never rated him in the first place. Honest.
