We’ve been on a horrendous run. 1 win in 10. Yet still 9 points from 2nd and 5 from the playoffs. Those sort of leads get eaten up so quickly in this league. Ours did last time. Now granted, we are likely to get a points deduction and that 9 could really be 18 but this is really a league open to anyone - apart from us!

This isn't a dig and more a question, to anyone really, but this points deduction - when is it even coming if at all? In November now I thought we'd know a little bit more, by now.

Irrespective of a points deduction, the gap is 5 points to the playoffs because its early in the season, we have played approaching 1/3 of the games.

We would have to get on a run of form that beats not only the 7 teams above us by 6 points who are not in the playoffs, but someone else would need to fall out of the playoffs as well.

That gap will just get bigger as we meander to a mid table finish.

Stick with Marti and get play offs or get relegated with a new manager, 6 points can be made up over 4 days in this league

So to clarify, youve seen enough that you think a new manager would relegate us, but sticking with Marti would get us in the playoffs?

Ive no idea at all what youre basing that on.

The problem is not so much the six point either, its the fact that there are 7 teams already above us, we would have to beat every single one of them by six points, is not just overhauling one team, all of them would have to be worse than us

We've won 1 game in 10. Even if 6 points would get us into the top six (it wouldn't as others will pick up points) where are the signs that the play-offs are coming? We're getting worse if anything.

Was it not muted that it’ll likely happen towards the start of next year?

On 2nd October, John Percy said the hearing was scheduled to begin in "the next few weeks".

Everton and Forest's verdicts were published around a month after the hearings concluded, so I'm expecting we hear the initial verdict in the next month.

Of course, there will then be an appeal, so we likely won't know the final decision until 2026.

Boro had their press conference cancelled. We couldn't even beat a team who's manager isn't arsed at all about the club he was managing and half way out the door. My word....

Muted?🤔 Probably about right tbf, given the silence on the subject.

I'm loving Edward's geographical career trajectory.  It's a who's who of the biggest shithole towns / cities in the country......Luton, Middlesbrough, Wolverhampton.

Where next after it goes wrong at Wolves?

Coventry?

Speaking to a cov fan near me (yeah i know, i know) and his take is that their first 11 is strong but squad not good enough to maintain current form when they get injuries and suspensions.

Id tend to agree.

Rob Edwards would be mental to go to Wolves imo. But I think he's already burnt his bridge at Boro so I think it's a matter of time.

He's wanted the Wolves job for years. He still has a house in the Midlands too apparently.

He played for us, was a youth coach, the academy manager, and then caretaker manager for two games. He has a very soft spot for us.

He 100% would take the job without hesitation. I think it's probably just down to compensation now and will be announced in the next few days.

No one is saying he wouldn't take it, it's that he shouldn't because it's a shit move regardless of personal affiliation

Is it? If they actually expect him to come in and save them, yes. If they are realistic and accept 2 points from 10 games means they are already down, and are focused on the longer term, then it becomes more attractive.

I haven't seen anything about the way Wolves have been run over the past few years that suggests they'll be great if they come down.

He's currently at a club doing well, fairly well run from the outside looking in and a club that took a chance on him after getting relegated with Luton and likely taking them down again.
