Southampton in decent shape - have had Will Still in place early. Have sellable assets.

Ipswich could be good too but risk of losing McKenna?

Sheffield Utd got 90 pts and should have gone up

Wildcards of Birmingham (111pts and momentum from last season) and Wrexham.

We are the least settled of this lot. Obviously question marks over manager and squad is currently quite unbalanced, plus a host of players on final year of contract and no real investment in the club

but there’s too many variables between now and end of the window but I don’t think Top 2 is a safe bet

You're right, but we did also hear the same kind of talk about Leeds and Southampton being better than us and more this and that last time.

If, and it's a big if, we appoint this week then I don't have a huge issue with any catching up we need to do. If it's later than this week then we are quite obviously way behind and it will be another inexcusable move by the club.

Yet again though, this shit has always been happening. When we got relegated Top still insisted on going to Thailand on a vanity mission. As a result our preparation was massively hindered. Yet again we got away with it but this has always been the case under King Power. Others bailing them out and making them look good.

We beat Ipswich comfortably with what was arguably our worst PL starting XI in decades.

We can do the double over Ipswich next season and still finish below them...

I don't understand why people seem to think Southampton are going to do well. They were close to breaking Derby's points record at one point and we finished well above them even after RvN's losing streak. They have hired a manager who might do well, but might not, and have brought in a striker from Bundesliega 2.

Are we though? And are Southampton and Ipswich better than us? I’d argue they aren’t, Ipswich looked shite when we played them on the final day, and their squad isn’t too dissimilar.

We’ve got talent in the squad, yes it needs some work, but with someone like Rohl at the helm he would squeeze every bit of ability out of this group, and hopefully with good additions makes a force. Players will still want to come and play for us, and I believe this crop of academy players we have coming through will be the real difference maker.

I’m for some reason optimistic about this season, I’ve got a feeling it’s going to be a record breaker…..

Oh dear god. We had this last time we were in the Championship and we all beat ourselves up because we didnt get 200 points and only concede 5 goals.

Right now, im just up for us being competitive with the top tier and developing the academy.

I wonder if JV might be being lined up by a consortium to be involved in a bid for Sheff Weds.

I thought it was interesting there was no news on his new club yet, can see him getting invovled there if it continues getting worse.

What's happening with LCFC's possible points deduction penalty situation?

god knows atm, suspect the EFL are waiting for the right time or something, personally think theyll try a 12 point deduction but we'll appeal and it will go down to like 7/8

kinda like what everton did
