Leicester fans didn’t have a special relationship with Vichai.

The tragic circumstances of his death triggered grief buried within people for people they actually knew and it took on a Princess Diana esque spectacle where it was, quite frankly, ridiculous to see people crying in public over someone they never knew.

Leicester fans couldn’t recognise his voice, tell you his birthday (despite the free doughnuts) or anything else significant about him as a man. He was as private and shady as a man gifted a monopoly by the king of Thailand should be.

The co-ordinated grief and brain-washy type slogans like ‘Always In Our Hearts’ and ‘The Boss’ pushed by the club are superb examples of how you can manipulate the majority of people into thinking a certain way. This is now actually harming the club as accountability for the current owner is lacking due to association with the former

one.

Not sure I agree with all this

But it’s easy to forget that the KPFC meme/backlash actually started to gain traction back in 2017/18 when Vichai was still alive

I think they’d have been some form of opposition to KP build whatever happened

Albrighton should never have played for England. Couldn’t beat a man, didn’t score goals, didn’t really get assists. People go overboard on his crossing like he was Trent but it was largely slinging an early ball in because he couldn’t take his full back on. Fans took to him because of his world class attitude and I loved him because he always popped up with big European goals but in terms of actual ability he wasn’t very good for this level. People slag off an over the hill bdcr but he’s already got half an average albrighton goals and assists haul this season in a massively worse team

I wish that we hadn't sacked Rodgers until the end of the season so that he has that relegation on his CV.

It’s still on his CV.  That’s why he’s at Celtic.

Only just seen this and totally agree.

The celebrations of winning a league we should never have been in was embarrassing I thought.

The open top bus was cringe af. Would Newcastle or West Ham have one next season if they got relegated this season? That's the equivalent in terms of squad and money/wages spent on our side.

I was also fuming we didn't get 100+ points mainly because I was in line to win a fair few hundred in bets I had placed since August. We should have got 110+ points easily really with that team

Agreed.

The fact they were showing the players at Seagrave on the piss when we'd got a game on the Saturday totally pissed me off as well.

Over celebration of what should should have been a cakewalk - The players should still have been preparing for the game on Saturday they're professional athletes and should have had more about them and they should have been going all out for the win. Go on the piss after by all means.

We were better run between 2014 and 2021 than Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth are now.

Our net spend was less than any of them and we won three major trophies with more regular European football.

The anger and frustration comes from the fact that we've gone from arguably the best run club in English football to a basket case.

Is that unpopular?

Although I'm not keen on the system, we have a load of central defenders all better when playing in a back 3, yet we insist on playing a back 4 and wonder why they don't look comfortable defending....

(Not me defending them, but maybe we need to adjust the system to one that suits the players strengths ...)

have you heard of this thing called COVID, kinda shut down a lot of the airports throughout the latter half of 2020

Didn't stop me doing Zorya away in Dec 2020. Where there's a will, there's a way.

I thought Thomas was ok against Man u actually. Viktor is more physical, but i don't think there is a massive gulf between them both.

When you went into Seagrave for belated thank you for travelling to Moscow visit. Did you tell them you also were are Zorya, do they know you were one of only two Leicester fans who went there?

We were well run but we were only occupying that space behind the top 6 because clubs like Villa, Newcastle and West Ham were in the shit. We were beneficiaries of huge sales that were unprecedented and not exactly planned. No one at the club said sign Maguire because we'll get 80m for him.

The fact we were in that space was down to a lot of good fortune too. We absolutely blown it when real decisions needed to be made.

We were incredibly lucky. Appointing Ranieri (who applied, we didn’t seek him out) and winning the league after sacking our successful manger because his son and his mates got rimmed on film wasn’t genius planning.

Appointing Shakespeare permanently wasn’t  a particularly well run-club move. Puel was just available, not the result of a through managerial search (shallow managerial recruitment is a KP staple).

The reason our net spend was less than half was because of the general inflation in football. Our spend across summers 14 and 15 would be at least double now. Ulloa as a good championship striker would be £25m, Kante would be double or treble the price. Okazaki the same.

I remember having a similar debate about Alan Rogers and Chris Makin. But I agree. I’m not sure what anyone sees in VK, he’s such a one dimensional full back. Our Luke is not a world beater, but I do think he’s better than VK.
