Who would you keep?

  1. 1. Assuming in a perfect world you could get fair value for every player in our squad, how many players would you keep around? (either by their skill or because you just generally like them.)

I love Ricardo but we should sell if the right offer comes up (Perhape unlikely). He’s just too injury prone and his deal is up next summer.

He looks good in this team because he runs around and tries. His numbers aren’t great.

Except he'll be at AfCON for much of next season.. 😟

3-4 weeks (if they have a good tournament) is hardly “much of next season”.

We sold Castange, Barnes, KDH, to balance the books on the last relegation season. About £80m a majority was pure profit and spent about £40m

I can't see us getting anywhere near that figure with players in this squad on the back of horrendous form.

Things will be a lot tighter next season because of the reduced PSR amount anyway.
Plus we we have, players like Soumare

VK

Skipp

BDR

Ayew

Bilal

Okoli

pushing up the weekly wage up compared to the last time we went down.

Let’s hope we can get rid of a lot of the high earners.

We all know the squad are a hard to like bunch but when you think of it like that….the summer window was borderline criminal.

Surely all signings needed to have been like our old model of “potential with resale value” rather than clogging up the bloated/aged squad.

I put keep Ricardo partly because he absolutely smashed it last year and partly because he probably has zero resell value of note now.

They'd probably be a lot better if some of the other players around him ran around and tried also. He's wasted here.

This, nobody else will want those we don't. There's a lot who could do a job in the Championship though.

Exactly, they already have during the last season.

The hatred towards the players is absurd, they're not a premier league squad, two relegation prove this.

If we get an offer that is more than what we paid I'd have no problem selling. He is our least effective player on a per minute basis of those that have played significant minutes...

I think he's got potential, but he's just not going to fulfil that potential at this basket case of a club.

No it's not. They're a disgrace. A lot of players aren't "Premier League quality" when they get promoted but the least the do is try.

Savage summed it up for me recently. He said he was nowhere near the best player for Leicester but he would absolutely give his all, and these players do not do that.

We've just had to witness 6 home games on the spin without scoring a goal ffs.

Just wages we shouldn’t be paying when he’s invariably injured. His wages per 90 must be astronomical

I think his wages would be more of an issue ... same goes for Vards

Yeah of course but by having a terrible resale I also mean, nobody's going to want to take him off us tbh.

So it's fairly redundant.
