Lovely ending to MOTD. Brilliant to see so many legends of the game over time, including Cruyff which was amazing.

No wonder Gary looked like he was getting teary.

Nice to see the videos of him playing for City too. And Alan Smith on there talking about their time together.

Seeing Ranieri and especially Bocelli singing brings back so many memories. That song is so emotional for me.

Didn't watch it. Is it online somewhere without watching the whole programme?

Nice closing montage there with all of the goodbyes.

Lineker saying goodbye to MOTD.

Vardy saying goodbye to Leicester.

Trent saying goodbye to Liverpool.

KDB saying goodbye to Man City.

Forest saying goodbye to Champs League.

Leicester saying goodbye to ambition.

I think it’s just the end of an era for Leicester. With the direction of travel for the club and senior team, I doubt we will see the Premier League in the next 10 years and it’s unlikely the club will ever win anything again in my lifetime and that of many others but we have the memories.

Shame really,  whatever you think of Lineker he was good at his job. But in the end he was the architect of his own bbc demise. He had several warnings on airing his political views but couldn't help himself. MOTD won't be the same.

It wasn't that he aired political views that bought him down rather he aired the WRONG political views for the UK government, media and Israel.

And here I was thinking impartiality had something to do with it.

MoTD will be better off in the long run having someone who is prepared to do the job they are employed to do.

Where did he not do his job well?

Mr J Clarkson and a Lord Sugar (among many others) would like a word..

BBC presenters - past and present - have long been allowed to vent their spleen on all manner of subjects, as long as their views coincide with those of management and/or the government of the day.

Not a Linker fanboy BUT gotta admit the ending for MOTD they did for him was superb.

I almost forgot about the millions he has made out of us taxpayers for presenting a few hours a week and almost shed half a tear!!!
