Any idea who else we might have spoken to? Or am I best not to know.

Well based on combining the two leaks we've definitely spoken to Dyche, ONeill, Rohl & Wilder.

It leaves one "Unnamed candidate". It will be someone that approximately everyone has heard of, and no one would want.

My money is on Carrick or Rooney.

Mr Motivator, Robbie Williams and Dennis Wise. (Rob Tanner, Athletic)

How did we not have all of this sorted before the end of the season, so that when Ruud left the building the next one was walking in to sign on the dotted line ? I understand we had to move into the next financial year but that doesn't mean you can't have this sort of thing already lined up. If this is club management no wonder we are in a mess.

Alan Curbishley - unnamed as they daren't name him.

Rooney will go down to League 2  or just give up.  This has to a wind up 😫  particularly after RVN

There's no clear direction at the club.  Remember when Vichai said that we'll be Champions League in 5 years?  It raised some eyebrows for sure but it showed that we were ambitious and were embarking on a journey of upward trajectory - something that fans, good players, coaches and prospective managers were attracted to and could buy into.

Now, there's nothing.  The strategy and vision seems to be "Let's see what happens this week and hope things will be better next week".

Come on Top and Rudders...  Set an ambitious target and plot a route to achieve it.  And if you can't do that, it's time to go.

Even the thought that an interview process is needed feels slightly weird. Everything you need to know to make a decision is widely available; their style of play, how they develop players, their win ratio, in-game management, media profile, transfer record, integration of youth. Who cares if they’re good in PowerPoint and can describe what they’d do. Sure you need a “chemistry” meeting to finalise the decision but it doesn’t feel like that’s what we’re doing.

It’s important that we get a manager in, you can all argue amongst yourselves of who it should be or who you want but we need to get the bloke in asap otherwise we are gonna be even further behind than we probably already are.
