I'll admit i have asked for a refund.Well done to @ozvaldo for geting this going and i liked the original banner which would make people think about the direction of the club,i can't in all honesty get behind the new one at the moment.

Feel the new one is too one sided to Top. Tbh if he got rid of Rudkin and brought in someone to run the club for him I would be up for him staying.

Seems a good man with the club overall at heart. He just doesn't know how to run it.

Guaranteed all other teams fans will think we're sad losers who can't appreciate what we've had.  The media will home in on the apparent ingratitude of a fanbase who are turning on the owners, at the very ground where Vichai died.  The focus will be totally shifted away from the inadequacies of management, and comparisons will be drawn with the days when flowers were laid outside the stadium.  And the people at the top will just roll their eyes and think the fans don't know what they're talking about. 

The original message was clear, intelligent, and prompted debate and thought.

King Power Out just makes us sound petulant.

This is how I see it.

 

The easiest and quickest way for things to improve would be for the ownership to stay but the CEO and DoF to be removed.

 

Day to day business being this bad is the reason we're in the shit.

How about "Vichai's dream lies in tatters" - makes it clear where the blame lies without explicitly calling Top/KP out and the media would likely pick up on the "rise and fall" context.

Just catching up with all this banner stuff and I think that @Qwerty is right. 'King Power Out' is just not clever enough and will provoke a similar reaction to when Claudio was sacked x10. 

 

'Top ambitions; Wrong decisions', is the way to go.

@ozvaldofirstly thanks for getting off your backside & organising  Having donated, I'm just glad someone is following up on the Project Reset protests.  Having supported the club since the late 70s & not being a chav  I can understand the debate about the message on the banner & the support/love it may generate for KP /Top but ultimately if we wait for others to organise a further "protest" we'll be in League 1.  Any noise of protest is better than none & ultimately the way the club is treating fans with ST renewals/digital tickets, any form of protest is welcome.  Others who are not happy with the banner can organise their own one for  the next home matches

To me, they just need to show accountability. Top in particular. Fire Rudkin and anyone else who has had a hand in our downfall for the last 5 or so years. There’s a deeper meaning to the original slogan, that I think would provoke more mature debate amongst football pundits and other fan groups a like?

I've donated, so might as well share my opinion.

 

I'm fully behind 'Premier Ambitions, Amateur Decisions'. It perfectly summarises the state of the club for the past few years and holds the whole hierarchy accountable. That's what got me to dig in my pocket.

 

KP out, I believe, would become a laughing stock to the outside footballing world, and may appear as a knee-jerk reaction to our current season. I can't quite get behind that.

 

That being said, I won't be asking for a refund. I appreciate the efforts to make a stand and I'd like to think that my donation will be some of the excess going to charity.

The slogan needs to create discussion in the ground at the game.  The original slogan would have created that, it's a clever take on the situation.

 

KP out is another blunt version of Rudkin out and is therefore unlikely to generate much discussion other than "oh look, they're at it again" from all the happy clappers.  It's not as effective.

The original statement would get the pundits talking, which would shine a light on the club and the board.  Having the footballing world talk negatively about the way a club is run might make the people at the top do some actual thinking.

 

King Power Out will be laughed at as just a bunch of arsey fans. People who don't know the details will think we're just sulking because we're getting relegated again.  No debate will be prompted, and no questions will be asked.

This is it.

 

Media, pundits and people outside will ride the 'entitled fans' narrative. They will list our accolades under KP (PL, FA Cup, Champs League QF, new training ground) etc, but will gloss over the numerous bad decisions and recent direction. The former statement highlights that and creates the talking point.

 

We create the narrative with Premier Ambition' slogan

Unless of course there's a horse race or polo match in which case he'll just sack the club off and go to Thailand during vital survival games.

 

But yeah, i agree, "Premier League ambitions, amateur decisions" is much more likely to provoke discussion and interest from a wider audience / the media than King Power Out which perhaps does just make us sound mardy because we are getting relegated.

 

Either way, I've donated and just happy to see action being taken.

However, the original slogan was more unique, impactful and potentially more unifying in my opinion.  I feel for Ozvaldo as you can't please all of the people all of the time and ultimately well done for doing something.

so I've run a few PR companies over the last few decades. I've supported City for 50 years. Doesn't mean I'm expert, but I can offer some thoughts:

 

• We need to communicate with outsiders, not ourselves. Keep the slogan very, very generic if you want people to remember it
• Focusing on individuals make us look a bit tacky
• The most successful slogans in recent years have been Make America Great Again and Get Brexit Done. I hate the aspirations, but as communications devices they are genius.

I'd recommend those thoughts guide the ultimate choice. Well done @ozvaldo. It takes courage to do something like this.

Spot on, Harpenden Fox. The original message gets the wider public conversation started about how the club's being run, and hopefully builds a narrative that explains how such a successful team, over the past ten years, is now in such a mess. 
 

This is a message about change at LCFC.
