From Corriere Della Serra:

A rockstar soul in the city of violins: from the factories of Sheffield to the rooftop of England. Now, to close his career, the Italian dolce vita awaits him.

Odd move in terms of club, as Cremonese isn't really that popular. It'll be now, though. lol

Wish him well in Lombardy. Certainly offers better weather and better food than Leicester (sorry).

And the missus can shop in nearby Milan.

Now for one of those Cremonese away shirts (the home shirt is ugly, can't understand why a club would opt for grey in their colours).

It's probably the perfect club for him, Feyenoord fans would have very high expectations and Vardy is a bit of a streaky, confidence player so I could see things going wrong for him there.

A club like Cremonese where strikers are expected to score 5-7 goals a season without the fans turning on them will be perfect for him. He's always been someone who values the support of the fans.

Just promoted team trying to keep themselves in the league and 2 from 2, with them beating AC Milan the other week. They need someone as an impact sub, and we know Vardy can do that.

€25k a week according to sky sports

wow some English clubs are nuts to let a player of that quality pass them by for that sort of coin

his time here had ended but he surly had more to offer in English football

Perhaps he fancied a sojourn in Italy for various reasons. Good luck to him

I'm well chuffed he's gone abroad.  Now I can enjoy watching the swansong of his career a lot more than if he'd rocked up at Palace or something.

Exactly this. Even in a different division seeing him playing for a Palace or Sunderland etc is too close for comfort. Playing for a less fancy Italian team seems ideal

Why would he want too? I know I wouldn't. He's won the league and FA Cup in this Country and wouldn't be at a club that would do it again.

Moving abroad is a good move for him, especially to a Country like Italy. He can play against some big clubs in great grounds. The game is probably slower too.

Glad hes gone abroad and not some dump like Celtic.

Good luck to him, hope he gets them into Europe.

Finally feels like a goodbye to the legend:appl:

When could he make his debut?

International break, 15th they play Hellas Verona away and 21st Parma at home. Probably he'll be on bench vs Parma but it might take a while for him to get some minutes given the quality they already have in the CF/ST area.

Club will sell tons of shirts. A lot of Cremonese fans love Leicester and Vardy. This is a good commercial move by their board.

The tax regime is attractive to high earning foreigners at present. He will be £200-300k per year better off than he would be in the UK on the same salary.

I actually like their home colours, it's a unique combo

Lovely story if the cremonese can do a Leicester in the serie A this season. Looks like they got the beginnings of a good squad! Good luck to Vardy!

Read in Peter Drury's voice.

Also, you know it makes sense.

Cremona is where Stradivari died (and where he was likely born).

Maybe it's because the Continent is an hour ahead?

EDIT: And it's on their official FB page.
