Do you know what would be cool. if 200 (or however many goals he ends up with) seats, were enscribed with a goal.

So people would get to sit in a seat that has a tribute to vardy 💙

some of those seats people would never leave.

the vardy section of the ground would be epic

Email the club … probably won’t get anywhere but brilliant idea.

I fear we’ll never see the likes of Jamie Vardy again.

A wonderful story compromising of a man who was told he wouldn’t make it surpassing all expectations and becoming a legend to a fanbase for all eternity.

His determination, passion, commitment and underrated ability (by some not connected to the club) will never be forgotten.

A true one of a kind.

I wish him well in whatever he does. We will always have the memories that he created for us and I sincerely hope that who he is remains part of our culture as a club.

From the shithousery and the humour to the sacrifices he made and ability he has shown - I still maintain that the over the shoulder volley at the Hawthorns would be permanently showed anywhere if Kane, Rooney etc scored it.

Thank you Jamie, I will never forget what you’ve done and how you made my dreams come true. 💙🦊

A true Leicester legend  ,never to be forgotten

Good luck Jamie in all that you do. It's Benn a pleasure to watch you play.

I think it's time to see Vardy for what he can be for us, a Heskey or Lineker that becomes either an Ambassador or Coach or pundit that can shine a light on the club. He might not play 90 minutes a week for us for much longer but he'll never, ever not be part of this club whatever he chooses to do next.

It feels a little bit like a part of the soul of the club has fled over these last couple of years.

After the O'Niell years came desolation. We grew back a bit of the clubs soul with Vardy, Nigel, Nuge, and Kasper.

It feels like that little piece of us has died, particularly in the last week.

He goes with a heart full of wishes but a head full of sadness.

Did Vardy himself select that or did someone at the BBC put together a team of the best players he's played with?

He did it according to the BBC

Never felt more detached from this club as I do now.

However, I am hoping this will actually reset my mindset and hopefully with a new Manager and more players leaving, I can embrace the next chapter of this amazing club. I hope Vardy goes to America now. Don't want to see him in the Championship with someone else.

Greatest ever. What a sad day. Gave us so much pride.

We owe him so much. You owe us nothing Vards but please don’t go to another English club.

Not having the king wearing the 9 is going to be heartbreaking.

Be awkward v Ipswich when all the other players get the w@nker and V signs at them but Vatds gets a standing ovation!

*(Obviously  the happy clappers will applaud the whole squad, backroom staff and Rudkin!)

Easily the best striker in our recent history. Won everything near enough and represented us at International level while staying loyal to the club when many chose not to. A real hero and we’ll miss him enormously. Thank you, Jamie Vardy.

Hopefully we retire the number 9 shirt, so our new manager Sean Dyche can’t give it to Oli McBurnie next season.

Just **** off

This evening there will be households all round the county and beyond with little children and their parents, with the TV off, serious face on, arm around the shoulder, finding a moment to break the news with the inevitable tantrums, tears, "It's not fair", not wanting their tea, storming up to bed, slamming doors. My thoughts go out to all the kids having to break the news to mum and dad this evening.

Find it so sad that this thread gets infected with so much crap directed at the club. There are tons of threads for your (justified, don't get me wrong) anger - please can we just celebrate the greatest player ever without having to resort to a competition to see who is most righteously angry?

I am firmly against retiring the number 9.

It should be something to aspire to for any Leicester lad. Every striker in the academy should dream of wearing the number 9 for City.

Completely agree the more I think about it - really hope they don't do it, even though he is almost certainly not going to be beaten.

Can we not be angry that Vardy is leaving because of the club's (Top and Rudkin's) incompetence?

Don't mind admitting I just broke down crying.

I ****ing hate where we are at now as a club.

Doubled edged sword, everyone wants the club finances sorted out. Unfortunately we can’t afford ridiculous wages in the champ with a our lowest PSR range in 12 years.

Also when I checked Capololgy it had Vardys wage the same as before relegation and verified.

With no reduction as he was out of contract then, that would be ridiculous if true.

You can be angry about whatever you perceive to be true, but you cannot prove it, and I just don't think this is the thread for it.
